Enjoy a half-day adventure through rivers, waterfalls and rocky canyons in Andalucía. With three different routes available, participants can choose anything from a beginner-friendly introduction to a more technical descent with larger abseils and challenging terrain.
The Sierra de Aracena Canyon is the most accessible option and ideal for beginners, families and groups. Located near Cortelazor la Real, this route follows clear pools and natural water features with up to four optional jumps between one and four metres. There is no abseiling, making it a relaxed introduction to canyoning.
Calzadillas Canyon near Almadén de la Plata offers a more adventurous experience with a combination of abseiling, slides and optional jumps. Participants descend several rappels while moving through narrow canyon sections and natural pools, making it a great choice for those wanting a more technical route without stepping into advanced canyoning.
Risco Blanco Canyon is the most demanding option and is suited to confident, active participants. This route includes multiple rappels, waterfalls, natural pools and optional jumps, finishing with an impressive 20-metre descent beside a waterfall into a large pool below.
Activities take place within some of Andalucía's most scenic natural areas, including the Sierra de Aracena and the surroundings of Almadén de la Plata. Exact meeting point details are provided after booking.
These landscapes are known for their rivers, forests, rocky gorges and hidden waterways. Each canyon offers a different experience, allowing participants to discover parts of the region that are rarely seen from traditional walking routes.
Participants should be comfortable in and around water and able to swim. No previous canyoning experience is required for the Sierra de Aracena Canyon, while the other routes are better suited to those looking for a more adventurous challenge.
Closed footwear with good grip that can get wet is essential. Water shoes and flip-flops are not permitted for safety reasons.
Qualified guides lead every activity using carefully maintained equipment and established safety procedures. Before entering the canyon, participants receive a full briefing and instruction on any techniques required during the descent.
