Choosing our Paddle Sport Leader Training course is the first step towards unlocking your potential as a leader on the water. Whether you aspire to guide educational programmes, organise social paddling adventures, or lead in a club or organisational setting, our course equips you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make a meaningful impact in the world of paddlesport.
The training is open to participants aged 16 years and older.
The course fee is £185, covering comprehensive instruction, learning materials, and guidance for British Canoeing Awards.
No formal Personal Performance Award or Safety Award requirements are needed. However, we recommend having the Paddle Explore Award (or equivalent) for an enhanced experience.
Ensure comfort in independently paddling on sheltered water. While no formal awards are required, having the Paddle Explore Award (or equivalent) is recommended. The course is designed to be flexible, allowing you to design your learning journey.
Training and assessment are run separately. However, you can book both with us! You will find the assessment at the bottom of this page. We would love to help you prepare and conduct your assessment! The course was excellent from start to finish, anyone that’s into boating or thinking about boating try this course. It has gave me the skills and confidence to buy my own boat and drive it comfortably on both the lakes and sea. Excellent value for money.
