If you want a proper Bali buzz without committing to a full adventure week, Alas Harum is the kind of place that delivers goosebumps and grin-worthy photos in one go. High above Tegallalang, you swing out over layered rice terraces, pedal a sky bike across the valley on a wire, and zip along a flying fox line through the jungle canopy, then sit down to a relaxed Indonesian lunch with the same sweeping view.
Arrive at Alas Harum in the Tegallalang countryside north of Ubud and feel the energy shift as soon as you see the platforms jutting over the ravine. Your day moves through three headline hits: the Bali Swing (single and couple lines that send you soaring above the paddies), the Sky Bike pedal ride along a high wire with harness and rails, and the Flying Fox zipline glide through the greenery.
Between rides there is time to wander photo decks, bird nest platforms, and carved viewpoints that have made this park a social media favourite. When your legs need a rest, head to the terrace restaurant for the included Indonesian lunch and watch other guests launch on the swings below.
Alas Harum sits in the heart of Tegallalang rice terrace country, where steep green valleys fold down from the hills and the air feels cooler than on the coast. From the platforms you look across working paddies, jungle edges, and the layered landscape that explains why Ubud became Bali's creative hub.
Most visitors arrive from Ubud or the southern beach towns, following the winding road up into the hills until the park entrance appears above the terraces.
Guests should be at least 7 years old, at least 150 cm tall, and comfortable with harnessed heights. Maximum age is 65 with good general fitness and no serious heart conditions.
These activities are not suitable for pregnant guests. Listen to staff at each station, clip in when asked, and enjoy the rush rather than rushing the safety steps.
This package bundles swing, sky bike, zipline, and lunch on one ticket so you can sample Alas Harum's best hits without juggling separate passes. Safety equipment and on-site instruction are included, which helps first-timers feel looked after from the first briefing to the last glide.
Whether you are chasing adrenaline, family photos, or a half-day escape from the beach heat, the mix of rides, scenery, and food makes it an easy win on a Bali itinerary.
Arrive at Alas Harum in Tegallalang and check in at the park entrance. Staff confirm your booking and point you toward the briefing area before the first swing platform opens.
Clip into harnesses for the Bali Swing lines, including single and couple swings over the ravine. Guides run the safety briefing and manage launch timing so each guest gets a clear run above the terraces.
Move on to the Sky Bike pedal ride across the high wire, then the Flying Fox zipline cable run through the jungle canopy. Each station has its own brief and harness check before you start.
Finish with the included Indonesian set menu lunch at the park restaurant, with terrace views over the valley. After eating you can browse extra photo spots before you head back to your hotel or onward plans.
Alas Harum is in the Tegallalang area near Ubud. Most guests drive or book a taxi to the park entrance, or select a hotel transfer add-on at booking when available.
If you are arranging your own transport, aim to arrive at the park start time on your confirmation. Parking is usually available near the entrance for self-drive guests.
Plan for around five hours of swing, sky bike, flying fox, and lunch time at Alas Harum itself. That is the fun part in the park, not a long road trip around Bali.
If you are coming from Kuta, Seminyak, or Nusa Dua with a driver, add a little extra either side for the scenic drive into the hills.
Yes, and it is a proper sit-down meal, not a snack on the go. You get an Indonesian set menu at the park restaurant with terrace views over the terraces and jungle below.
It is a nice pause between the adrenaline runs, so you can laugh about the swing photos before the next clip-in.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off are not part of the standard park package. Many guests drive or grab a taxi to the Tegallalang entrance, which is straightforward from Ubud and the south coast.
If you would rather not self-drive, ask the team about transfer options for your hotel area before the day so you know the plan.
Guests need to be at least 7 years old and 150 cm tall, with enough confidence for harnessed heights. The maximum age is 65 in good general health.
These rides are not suitable if you are pregnant or have serious heart conditions. Staff will always check fit at each station before you launch.
Not at all. This is built for first-timers who want a proper buzz without needing any special skills. Crew members brief you, fit harnesses, and coach you through each launch.
You just need to be happy with heights and ready to follow simple cues when staff call them on the platform or cable line.
Your pass covers the famous Bali Swing lines, including single and couple swings that send you out over the ravine with rice terraces far below.
There are extreme swing and swing bed style setups in the park too. Your package focuses on the core swing access that most visitors come for.
Picture a bicycle pedalling along a high wire above the valley, with harness and rails keeping you steady. It feels playful and scenic rather than a steep drop.
It is a brilliant contrast to the swing: slower, grin-inducing, and perfect for guests who want views without the biggest rush.
The Flying Fox is the park's zipline-style glide through the greenery, harnessed to a cable with staff managing the launch and landing.
It is included in the same adventure bundle as the swing and sky bike, so you can tick off three headline rides in one visit.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, closed shoes or sandals with straps, sunscreen, and a hat. Bring a camera or phone if you want those classic Bali swing shots.
A small bag for personal bits and a waterproof phone case are smart ideas. Loose jewellery is best left at your accommodation.
Absolutely. Beyond the rides you will find bird nest platforms, carved viewpoints, glass decks, and jungle paths designed for photos.
Many guests spend extra time between activities snapping the terraces and ravine. A charged phone and a little patience at busy platforms go a long way.
