Discover a quieter side of Bali on this full-day private trekking experience through traditional villages, green rice terraces and hidden natural landscapes. Combining gentle adventure with cultural surroundings, this guided walk also includes a refreshing swim in a natural pool and a visit to a secluded river canyon, making it an excellent way to experience parts of the island that many visitors never see.
Following collection from your hotel, you'll travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to the starting point of the trek, where you'll meet your local guide before setting off into Bali's countryside. Quiet footpaths lead through working rice paddies and traditional villages, giving you the chance to experience everyday rural life while enjoying wide views across the island's famous terraced landscapes. Along the way, your guide will explain the importance of the rice fields and share stories about local customs and farming traditions.
The route then reaches Taman Sari Geduh, a peaceful natural water pool surrounded by tropical greenery. Here you'll have time to cool off with a refreshing swim or simply relax beside the clear water before continuing deeper into the countryside. The slower pace allows plenty of opportunities for photographs while taking in the peaceful surroundings.
Later in the day, the scenery changes as you explore a hidden river canyon, carefully making your way through shallow water beneath towering rock walls and lush vegetation. This section adds a sense of adventure while remaining accessible for most walkers. Once the trek is complete, a freshly prepared local lunch awaits before returning comfortably to your hotel with lasting memories of Bali's hidden landscapes.
Away from Bali's busiest beaches and resorts, this experience explores a quieter region where traditional villages, rice terraces and natural waterways create a completely different atmosphere. It's an ideal setting for visitors looking to spend time outdoors while discovering parts of the island that many travellers never reach.
Surrounded by farmland, tropical vegetation and freshwater streams, the route showcases the island's diverse scenery throughout the day. With hotel transfers included, reaching these rural locations is easy, allowing you to enjoy the experience without worrying about transport or directions.
Comfortable walking shoes or suitable trekking footwear are recommended, as the route follows natural trails, uneven paths and shallow sections of the river canyon. Lightweight clothing, sun protection and swimwear are also advised if you plan to enjoy the natural pool.
Although there is no minimum age for this experience, participants should be comfortable walking for several hours on natural terrain. A moderate level of fitness will help you make the most of the day while enjoying the varied landscapes along the route.
Combining several of Bali's hidden natural attractions into one private experience, this tour offers a relaxed way to discover the island beyond its popular tourist hotspots. Travelling with a knowledgeable local guide provides a better understanding of the countryside while allowing you to enjoy the journey at your own pace.
Everything needed for the day has already been arranged, including transport, lunch, entrance fees and guiding. That means you can simply enjoy the scenery, take your time exploring each location and focus on making the most of your day outdoors.
Rated as moderate, this trek is suitable for most people who enjoy walking and spending time outdoors. The route includes rice field paths, uneven countryside trails and sections through shallow water in the river canyon, so you'll encounter a variety of natural terrain throughout the day.
No previous trekking experience is required, and there are no technical climbs involved. Taking your time, wearing suitable footwear and following your guide's instructions will help you enjoy every part of the experience comfortably.
A stop at Taman Sari Geduh gives you the opportunity to enjoy a swim in one of Bali's hidden natural pools. The clear freshwater provides a welcome chance to cool down after walking through the countryside, especially on warmer days.
Swimming is completely optional, so if you'd rather stay dry, you can simply relax beside the water, enjoy the surroundings and take photographs while the rest of your group takes a dip.
Only your booking group will take part, making this a completely private experience from beginning to end. This creates a more relaxed atmosphere and allows your guide to focus entirely on your group.
Private tours are ideal for couples, families or friends who prefer to explore without larger groups. They also make it easier to stop for photos and enjoy the scenery at your own pace throughout the day.
A freshly prepared local lunch is included as part of the experience and is served after completing the main trekking route. It's a great opportunity to rest and enjoy local flavours before beginning the return journey.
Having lunch included also means there's no need to search for restaurants or carry extra food with you, allowing the day to flow smoothly from start to finish.
Lightweight clothing suited to Bali's warm climate is recommended, along with comfortable walking or trekking shoes that provide good grip on uneven paths. Because parts of the route include water, footwear that can cope with getting wet can also be useful.
If you'd like to swim at the natural pool, remember to bring swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes. Sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat are also worthwhile additions for a full day outdoors.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, making it easy to start the day without arranging your own transport. Your driver will meet you in your hotel lobby before travelling to the trekking starting point.
After lunch and the completion of the adventure, you'll be driven back to your accommodation in the same comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, allowing you to relax after an active day.
