Combine a boat trip to Águas Belas cave with swimming, coastal scenery and a seaside barbecue on Santiago Island's west coast. You'll explore rock formations from the water, swim in calm turquoise sea, and finish with a meal on the beach with meats, salads, fruit and drinks.
After pickup from your accommodation, you drive towards the coast with a short stop in Assomada before reaching the village for boarding. The boat trip takes you to Águas Belas cave, where you can explore the rock formations and swim or snorkel in clear water.
After time on the water, a seaside barbecue is prepared with meats, fresh salads, fruit and drinks. The day finishes with return transfer to your accommodation.
Águas Belas cave sits on Santiago Island's west coast near Ribeira da Barca, where Atlantic cliffs, clear water and fishing village life define the setting. The cave is one of the island's best-known coastal attractions, accessible by boat from the shore.
The barbecue takes place by the beach, giving a relaxed finish to the day with sea views throughout.
No boating experience is needed. Swimming and snorkelling are optional, and life jackets are available on the boat.
Bring swimwear, sun protection and a towel. Mention any mobility concerns when booking regarding boarding the boat.
This day packs coastal exploration, time on the water and a full barbecue into a single easy outing. The crew knows the cave and coastline well, and group sizes stay comfortable on the boat and at the beach.
Pickup where included makes the west coast accessible without hiring your own transport from Praia.
Pickup from your accommodation can be arranged where applicable. Confirm your address when booking so the guide knows where to meet you.
