Unleash your adventurous spirit and dive into the world of skydiving with our Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) Level 1 course.
This exhilarating journey begins at 13,000ft, where you'll freefall for an unforgettable 50 seconds, before deploying your own parachute and guiding yourself around the sky for five minutes.
Upon landing safely back at the Drop Zone, you can decide whether you're ready to continue with us on this thrilling path and become a certified, club member skydiver.
What is AFF Level One?
AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) Level 1 is the first level in a training program for learning skydiving independently. The AFF program is designed to teach the skills needed to skydive solo, and Level 1 is the beginning of that journey.
In the Level 1 course, you are introduced to the basics of skydiving. You receive ground training on safety procedures, equipment, exit, free fall techniques, canopy control, and landing. The highlight of the Level 1 course is typically the first jump, which is performed from a high altitude (13,000 feet), with two instructors jumping alongside you. The instructors maintain direct contact with you during freefall, giving hand signals to correct body position and ensure safety.
After deploying the parachute (which you do on your own), the instructors guide you via radio on how to steer the parachute and land safely. The goal of Level 1 is to teach you the fundamental skills of skydiving while ensuring you can handle the basics of the jump, including the freefall, parachute deployment, and landing.
Once Level 1 is successfully completed, you can progress through further AFF levels to gain more skills, confidence, and eventually achieve solo skydiver status.
