Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech
Arrive at Marrakech Airport and transfer to your hotel or riad for your first overnight stay, allowing time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ourika – Asni
The journey starts with a transfer to Tadmamt, where you begin cycling into the foothills of Mt Toubkal. Enjoy a warm-up on rolling roads before descending into the Asni Valley, following the river and crossing several bridges, ending the day at Dar Elmouahidines for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Asni – Ouirgane – Oulad Berhil
A challenging climb takes you to the Tizi n’Test Pass at 2100m, offering extensive views over the Sousse Valley towards the Anti Atlas. After lunch, descend steeply into the valley, riding past citrus groves before reaching Oulad Berhil, where you stay in a converted palace riad with fruit trees and roaming peacocks.
Day 4: Oulad Berhil – Anti Atlas Tafraoute
A morning transfer brings you into the drier Anti Atlas Mountains. The route passes through argan tree country, with chances to spot the famous tree-climbing goats. Cycle past almond orchards and mud-walled Berber villages before a 12km descent into Tafraoute. There is an optional visit to the nearby Blue Rocks, created by artist Jean Verame.
Day 5: Anti Atlas – Ait Baha – Agadir
After a vehicle transfer out of Tafraoute, cycle through hills dotted with traditional villages and hill-top kasbahs. The ride ends with a descent to Ait Baha Lake, followed by a transfer to the coastal resort of Agadir for a comfortable hotel stay.
Day 6: Agadir – Paradise Valley – Imouzzer
Cycle through Paradise Valley, a palm-lined gorge with a challenging climb leading to a plateau and the town of Imouzzer, home to the Ida Outanane Berber tribe. The landscape is dramatic, and the cultural identity remains strong here.
Day 7: Imouzzer – Imessouane – Essaouira
Begin with a winding descent into a palm-dotted valley, passing traditional villages. After a few moderate climbs, reach the main coast road. Post-ride, transfer to Essaouira, a historic Portuguese fishing port with whitewashed houses, artisan workshops, and a relaxed atmosphere. Overnight in a traditional riad hotel.
Day 8: Essaouira – Marrakech
Enjoy a free morning to explore Essaouira’s narrow, traffic-free streets. Later, transfer back to Marrakech, where you can unwind at rooftop cafés or visit the Majorelle Gardens and a traditional hammam. The day ends with a visit to Djemma El Fna Square, vibrant with street performers and market stalls. Overnight in a comfortable hotel.
Day 9: Marrakech – Airport
