This accommodation-based sea kayaking adventure focuses on exploring the diverse coastline of Rab Island while enjoying the comfort of returning to a bed, shower, and shared meals each evening. Over six paddling days, you’ll travel along forested shores, sandy bays, geological cliffs and historic islands, discovering places that are often only accessible from the water.
The route aims to circumnavigate Rab Island while also visiting nearby islands such as Sv. Grgur and Goli Otok, along with the fjord-like Zavratnica Bay on the mainland. With flexible daily plans guided by local knowledge, the journey adapts to conditions to ensure the safest and most enjoyable paddling experience possible.
This eight-day kayaking holiday combines exploration of the Adriatic coastline with comfortable accommodation each night. The tour is designed for paddlers who enjoy active days on the water while returning to a relaxed base where they can shower, unwind, and enjoy shared meals. With six days of kayaking covering around 116 km, the trip offers a balanced pace suitable for beginners with some fitness as well as more experienced paddlers.
Each morning begins with breakfast before transferring to the day’s launch point. From there, the group sets out to explore Rab Island’s varied shoreline, stopping at beaches, caves, and viewpoints along the way. Lunch is typically enjoyed as a relaxed beach picnic before continuing the route.
Afternoons usually finish between mid-afternoon and early evening, leaving time to rest, swim, or explore the nearby town before dinner. Because this is an accommodation-based trip, the itinerary remains flexible, allowing guides to adjust routes based on weather, sea conditions, and group preferences.
With more than fifteen years dedicated solely to sea kayaking along the Croatian Adriatic, the guiding team brings deep local knowledge and a relaxed approach to exploration. Rather than rushing through routes, the philosophy focuses on taking time to experience the coastline properly — paddling at a steady pace, discovering quiet bays, and sharing insights about the landscapes and history along the way.
Trips are intentionally kept small so that every guest receives personal guidance and the group can travel smoothly together. Local guides know these waters intimately, from weather patterns to hidden beaches and safe routes between islands. Their experience ensures each journey remains both safe and enjoyable while offering a genuine connection to the region.
The meeting point for the trip is in Banjol 341 on the island of Rab. Guests arriving by car can reach the island via the regular Stinica–Mišnjak ferry crossing, which takes around 15 minutes. From the Mišnjak ferry terminal, the meeting point is just a short drive along the coast toward the town of Rab.
For guests travelling without a car, Rab is also easily accessible from Rijeka. A fast passenger catamaran connects Rijeka and Rab, making the island convenient to reach for travellers arriving in Rijeka from Zagreb, Ljubljana, or Trieste. It is also possible to reach Rab by bus from Zagreb and Zadar. For added convenience, the tour organizer also offers airport pick-up services.
Free parking is available for guests arriving by car.
