Sail across Croatia’s beautiful Adriatic waters for a 7-day liveaboard adventure that combines sailing and freediving in a way few experiences can. Led by record-breaking freediver William Winram and an expert ocean skipper, each day blends hands-on seamanship with breathwork, in-water skills development, and personal challenges. From island anchorages to relaxed evenings on deck, it’s as much about connection and learning as it is about the scenery.

⛵ Trip Details
Day 1 – Arrival and Orientation
Arrive at ACI Marina, Split, between 2pm and 4pm and board your yacht. Meet your crew, run through safety procedures and the planned route, and settle into your cabin. William will lead an opening breathwork session to help you relax and ground yourself before dinner under the stars. Evenings include stories from lives spent at sea and time to connect with your small crew.
Day 2 – Foundations of Depth (Sail to Šolta Island)
Sail to calm waters off Šolta for your first freediving session, focusing on finning, duck diving, body positioning, and equalisation techniques. William works one-on-one with each participant, making notes to guide your next steps. Afternoon sailing sessions cover sail trim, reefing, and helming basics. Evening activities include stretching, light breathwork, and sharing experiences onboard.
Day 3 – Training the Mind (Šolta to Vis)
Deep-water sessions build on previous feedback, introducing freefall, body adaptation, and relaxation techniques. Mindset workshops on deck help you develop focus under challenge. Navigation exercises such as chart plotting and weather routing are included, with the option for a night snorkel or storytelling about extreme dives and heavy-weather crossings.
Day 4 – Depth and Drift (Vis to Bisevo Island)
Freedive in the Blue Cave area, practising advanced breath control in open-water conditions. Afternoon sailing drills include manoeuvres and anchoring practice. Evenings feature expedition photography, documentary clips, and discussions to inspire your freediving and sailing journey.
Day 5 – Deep Dive Immersion (Pakleni Islands)
Static apnea hangs, safety-focused depth sessions, and rescue drills form the core of the day. William shares behind-the-scenes dive stories and photography tips. Gentle yoga and recovery breathwork on deck help the body recharge while reflecting on skills gained.
Day 6 – Flow & Freedom (Pakleni to Split)
Final freediving sessions consolidate all learned skills with personalised guidance. Sail back to Split, followed by a celebration dinner ashore. Feedback from William and the skipper highlights progress and next steps for your continued journey in freediving and sailing.
Day 7 – Farewell & Disembark (Split)
Enjoy a final breakfast with your crew, share photos, and debrief before disembarking mid-morning.
📍 Location
The expedition explores the central Dalmatian coast, starting and finishing in Split, a historic harbour city with easy access to nearby islands. Just offshore, Šolta offers quiet bays and clear water, ideal for early freediving sessions and skill foundations.
Further west, Vis provides deeper water, a strong maritime history, and more exposed conditions, while nearby Biševo is known for dramatic limestone formations and the Blue Cave. The route also includes the Pakleni Islands, where sheltered anchorages and calm conditions create a relaxed setting to consolidate skills before returning to the mainland.
🧘♂️ Accommodation
Stay aboard Oceanis 46 – Despacito, a 2019-built yacht offering space, comfort, and safety. Wide decks provide room for sailing, relaxation, or breathwork sessions, while a stern platform gives easy access to the water for freediving or swimming.
Below decks, five cabins provide privacy and storage, and a large saloon creates a social space for meals, discussions, and reviewing dive footage or sailing plans. Shared double cabins and single cabins are available, with single travellers enjoying their own private space. The yacht is fully equipped with safety gear, cooking facilities, and ample storage for all personal and freediving equipment, ensuring a comfortable base throughout the expedition.
✅ Prerequisites
No previous sailing or freediving experience is required — all skills will be taught during the trip. A reasonable level of health and swimming ability is essential for the water-based activities.
Comfort with shared accommodation will help you settle into life onboard. A simple kit list will be provided in advance, with holiday clothing being the main requirement.
🏝️ Why Choose Us
This week offers rare access to elite-level coaching from William Winram, a seven-time world champion whose experience spans competition, deep exploration, and expedition-style diving. Having that depth of knowledge onboard for an entire week allows for genuine progression, with guidance that goes far beyond a standard course or short workshop.
Rather than focusing on records or pressure, the coaching centres on control, awareness, and confidence in the water. Sessions are shaped around individual ability, with time to refine technique, understand personal limits, and build solid foundations that last well beyond the trip. Combined with hands-on sailing and life onboard, the experience feels immersive and purposeful, offering meaningful learning in an environment that encourages curiosity, calm decision-making, and long-term growth rather than quick results.
