Start your ascent into the Jbel Saghro range via the Tizi n’Tzazert pass (2200m). The riding here is remote and scenic, with open views of jagged peaks and wide desert valleys. Descend into Nkob, a quiet town known for its cluster of kasbahs. Overnight in Nkob.
Day 5: Nkob to Agdz (D’raa Valley)
Today’s ride heads towards the lush date palm oases of the D’raa Valley. Follow quiet dirt tracks alongside the river, through small Berber settlements and shaded farmland. There’s an optional homestay experience tonight for those wanting to stay with a local family. Overnight in the D’raa Valley region.

Ride a final morning stretch through the palm groves and winding desert paths of the D’raa Valley. After lunch, transfer by minibus back to Marrakech over the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Arrive in the city with time to explore the souks or relax before your final night. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Marrakech Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute sightseeing or shopping before you go.
Location
This trip begins and ends in Marrakech, a historic city filled with energy, spice-scented souks and rooftop views. It’s also the access point to the High Atlas and Saghro Mountains, where you’ll be riding across dramatic and remote terrain far from the tourist trail.
The route follows a loop through the Saghro region, south of the Atlas Mountains. Known for its arid beauty and wide, open tracks, it’s a mix of desert landscapes, volcanic peaks, deep gorges and fertile river valleys. Expect ever-changing terrain and a real sense of remoteness as you move between villages, mountains and oases on your bike.
Accommodation
You’ll spend two nights in Marrakech in a riad or local hotel with breakfast included – one at the beginning and one at the end of your trip. These traditional guesthouses offer a relaxing space to unwind after your flight or final ride, with ensuite rooms and rooftop terraces typical of Moroccan hospitality.
During the ride, four nights are spent in locally-owned mountain lodges, guesthouses or rural hotels selected for their character and location. In the D’raa Valley, there’s the option to stay with a Berber family in a traditional homestay – simple but memorable. All accommodation is based on shared rooms unless otherwise requested, with upgrades available.
Prerequisites
This trip is for riders with a good level of fitness and solid off-road biking experience. You’ll be cycling six consecutive days on mixed terrain, with technical sections, climbs, descents and long distances in warm conditions.
Although there’s full vehicle support, you should be confident handling gravel tracks, rocky paths and riding for 4–6 hours a day. A positive mindset and some prior trail experience will help you enjoy the adventure fully.
