



This 6-day hiking holiday offers the perfect opportunity to explore Cyprus through its varied landscapes, ancient sites, and inviting culture. With five guided hikes across the island, you'll walk through tranquil mountain trails, visit historical landmarks, and experience the local cuisine. This relaxed yet social adventure is ideal for those looking to connect with nature, enjoy beautiful views, and share the journey with fellow hikers.
Day 1 – Ayia Napa
Arrive at Larnaca Airport, where you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Ayia Napa. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the option to relax or take a stroll around the town’s harbour or beach. Ayia Napa is one of Cyprus’s most popular destinations, known for its recent development and vibrant atmosphere. Settle into your hotel for the night and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2 – Buffavento (6 miles)
After breakfast, you’ll be transported to the border, where you'll meet your Turkish driver and cross into the northern part of Cyprus. Your hike today will be a 6-mile route through the Kyrenia Mountains, with a final ascent leading you to the ancient Buffavento Watch Tower. This historic site provided a strategic vantage point for spotting invaders. Enjoy incredible views of the island’s coastline and inland areas. After your hike, you’ll visit Bellapais Abbey, a beautiful and significant landmark, before stopping for a traditional Turkish meze lunch. On your way back to Ayia Napa, you’ll also see the unique “Five Fingers” rock formation. In the evening, unwind at the pool bar before heading into the local nightlife or dining at one of the town’s top restaurants.
Day 3 – Platres, Troodos (7 miles)
Travel to the Troodos Mountains, Cyprus’s highest range, where you’ll take on a 7-mile hike in the Platres area. The hike will lead you past the beautiful Kefalonia Waterfall, offering a gentle climb through lush forest and stunning mountain vistas. After completing your hike, enjoy a leisurely meze lunch at a family-run restaurant in Platres. You’ll then head to Paphos, where you’ll be staying for the next three nights. Relax at your hotel’s pool before heading out to explore the local area or dine at a traditional restaurant in the nearby village of Peigia.
Day 4 – Avakas Gorge (7 miles)
Start your day with a short trip to the Avakas Gorge, a popular but less-travelled hiking spot on the island. This 7-mile circular hike showcases the dramatic beauty of the gorge, with towering cliffs and diverse rock formations. The route offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the coast. After your hike, enjoy lunch at a cliffside restaurant with spectacular views. In the afternoon, you’ll have some free time to relax in the sun, or for those who wish, take a short walk to the famous shipwreck to watch the sunset over the Mediterranean.
Day 5 – Blue Lagoon Boat Trip & Poolside Barbecue
Take a break from hiking today with a relaxing boat trip to the Blue Lagoon. You’ll have the chance to swim in the crystal-clear waters and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. After returning to shore, stop for coffee before heading to a private house for a special poolside barbecue lunch. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon surrounded by exotic gardens. This afternoon will be one of the tour highlights, offering an opportunity to unwind and reflect on your time in Cyprus.
Day 6 – Machairas Monastery (7 miles)
The final full day of hiking begins with a journey to Machairas Monastery, a revered site in Cyprus. After a visit to the monastery, you’ll embark on a 7-mile circular hike through the surrounding landscape, enjoying views of the surrounding mountains. The hike ends back at the monastery, where you’ll have time to explore its beautiful church. Later, visit Lefkara, one of the most picturesque villages in Cyprus, known for its intricate silverwork and lace. You’ll have time to explore the local shops before enjoying dinner with the locals in a village restaurant.
Day 7 – Cape Greco & Sea Caves (7 miles)
On the last hiking day, you’ll travel back to Ayia Napa for a hike around the beautiful Cape Greco. Starting at one of the island’s finest beaches, this 7-mile coastal hike offers views of the cliffs, sea caves, and natural features such as the famous natural bridge. Depending on conditions, you may have the chance to try cliff jumping into the sea, a thrilling way to end your hike. Afterward, enjoy a beachside lunch before some free time to relax or take a short walk to the Cyclops Cave. In the evening, enjoy a final dinner with your group, sharing memories of the adventure.
Day 8 – Depart
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return journey home, filled with memories of a remarkable week in Cyprus.

The accommodation for this tour includes comfortable hotel stays with access to pools, where you can unwind after a day of hiking. The hotels are carefully selected for their location and amenities, ensuring a relaxing environment to rest and recharge. Rooms are typically shared, but single rooms can be arranged for an additional cost if preferred.
In terms of food, all breakfasts and lunches are included in the price of the tour. Each day, you will enjoy delicious meals, including a variety of traditional Greek Cypriot dishes such as meze for lunch. The meze meals typically feature a selection of small plates, offering a mix of fresh salads, grilled vegetables, meat, fish, dips, and warm bread – a true taste of local cuisine. Evening meals are not included, allowing participants the freedom to explore local restaurants in the evenings.
This tour is ideal for those with a basic level of fitness. Participants should be prepared for daily hikes of up to 7 miles, which may include some uneven terrain, but no technical climbing.
You don’t need advanced hiking experience, but it is important to have the stamina to walk for several hours each day at a moderate pace. The weather can vary, so being ready for both sun and cooler mountain air is essential.

This includes 7 nights of accommodation, 5 days of guided hiking, all breakfasts and lunches, hotel and pool accommodation, bag transfers (so you only carry a day bag), transport around the island via a dedicated minibus, and a Blue Lagoon boat trip with the opportunity to swim.
The hikes are rated as easy to moderate, making them suitable for anyone with a basic level of fitness.
Participants will walk up to 7 miles per day, with some uneven terrain and moderate elevation gains. The pace is relaxed, and you will be accompanied by an experienced mountain leader.
The hikes typically last around 4 hours each day, with the total distance varying between 6 and 7 miles depending on the day’s itinerary.
The terrain is varied, including mountain paths and coastal areas, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy Cyprus’s natural beauty while staying active.
Walking poles are not included in the tour package. If you prefer to use them, you are welcome to bring your own.
If you don’t have walking poles but feel you might benefit from them, we recommend purchasing or renting a pair before the tour.
We recommend packing comfortable, breathable hiking clothing, sturdy footwear (hiking boots or trail shoes), a light waterproof jacket, a day pack for carrying essentials (water, snacks, sun cream, etc.), a hat, sunglasses, and sun cream.
You may also want to bring a camera for the stunning views, a swimsuit for the Blue Lagoon trip, and a plug adapter for electrical devices.
