Experience the unparalleled beauty of the Lake District with our 'Heart of the Lakes' E-Bike Tour. This 6-day journey lets you explore the region's scenic valleys, breathtaking fells, and mountain passes at a leisurely pace, covering an average daily distance of 30 miles. Tailor the mileage to suit your preference and immerse yourself in the heart of the Lake District.
Your adventure begins with an overnight stay in a welcoming hotel in South Lakeland, offering excellent cuisine and cosy amenities, set against the backdrop of the garden-filled and picturesque Lakeland Fells.
Embark on an e-bike journey through South Lakeland, including a cable ferry ride across Lake Windermere. Visit the inspirational Hill Top House, a muse for Beatrix Potter's "Tales of Peter Rabbit," before reaching the charming village of Hawkshead for a lunch break at local cafes and restaurants. The afternoon's ride takes you through Coniston's historic slate mining area, along Coniston Water, and into the rolling landscapes leading to Broughton-in Furness, noted for its Georgian architecture and quaint cobbled square.
Pedal through the peaceful Duddon Valley, ascend the impressive Wrynose Pass, and glide down the Langdale Valley, entering the core of the Lake District via Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge, each offering a variety of lunch options. Post-lunch, choose from different routes circling Rydal Water and Grasmere, with an option to explore Ambleside. In the late afternoon, enjoy a vehicle transfer to your next two-night stay near Keswick, bypassing the busy roads between central and northern Lakes for more exploration time in the north.
Experience another day of incredible views in the North Lakes' less-explored landscapes. The circular route around the Skiddaw and Blencathra mountains offers breathtaking scenes through quiet lanes, passing through the serene villages of Caldbeck and Mungrisdale, and concluding at your Blencathra-adjacent accommodation.
Traverse the rugged terrain of Matterdale Common en route to the stunning Ullswater Lake. Continue over the renowned Kirkstone Pass for panoramic views of Lake Windermere and surroundings, followed by a descent to the picturesque village of Troutbeck. Wind down with a leisurely ride along country lanes back to your starting hotel.
Enjoy a tasty breakfast before concluding your tour.
Enjoy a blend of hotels, guest houses, and traditional pubs, offering comfortable rooms, excellent food, and a genuine Lakeland experience.
We have shared double and twin options. At an additional cost, you can request a single room to yourself.

With the rear bike rack and panniers provided, you have the storage space to carry all you need to enjoy a day’s ride. In addition to the accessories provided, we recommend you also take the following items on rides:
The minimum legal age to ride an electric bike under UK law is 14 years of age. We require riders under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
If you can ride a bike then you can ride an E-Bike. The amount of effort needed to pedal is reduced due to the motor assistance, which provides for a more comfortable and relaxing ride.
Electric bikes are like standard bikes with the added support of a motor and battery. The motor is activated when the rider pedals, therefore, the rider does still need to pedal but with an added boost from the motor to make the ride easier. Our Cube Touring Electric Bikes come with the choice of 4 power settings, so the rider can choose how much assistance to use. Our bikes come with sturdy German-engineered components and powerful Bosch-powered motors and batteries. The display unit is mounted centrally on the handlebars, which shows you your speed, which of the 4 power modes you are using and all the battery information you will need for a relaxing ride.
Our current fleet of Bosch-powered Touring E-Bikes can travel over 100 miles without re-charging, depending on the amount of assistance you require from the battery.
You will be provided with a charger. The battery can be charged on the bike or can easily be removed from the bike and taken to a convenient place to be charged overnight.
