## FAQs

### I have my own e-bike. Can I use that instead?

You are very welcome to use your own e-bike if you have one. Please mention this in the comments when you book and Phil can revise the pricing for you.

### What accessories are included in the e-bike hire?

Phil provides everything you need for a great trip. Here is a list of what is included in your e-bike hire: Bike (with integrated lights and rear rack) Battery charger Helmet Panniers Phone mount on handlebars High vis straps Bike lock Puncture repair kit Pump

### What should I have with me on the rides?

With the rear bike rack and panniers provided, you have the storage space to carry all you need to enjoy a day’s ride. In addition to the accessories provided, we recommend you also take the following items on rides: Water. Appropriate footwear – closed-toe shoes such as trainers or lightweight walking shoes/boots that have adequate grip for the pedals. Appropriate clothing – the weather forecast can guide you, but it is always important to carry waterproofs and additional warm clothing. Ideally, a navigation app downloaded on your phone so we can provide you with proposed routes (GPX view or Strava are commonly used). We can recommend one and provide download / user guidelines.

### Are there age limits?

The minimum legal age to ride an electric bike under UK law is 14 years of age. We require riders under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

### Is it difficult to ride an e-bike?

If you can ride a bike then you can ride an E-Bike. The amount of effort needed to pedal is reduced due to the motor assistance, which provides for a more comfortable and relaxing ride.

### How do e-bikes work?

Electric bikes are like standard bikes with the added support of a motor and battery. The motor is activated when the rider pedals, therefore, the rider does still need to pedal but with an added boost from the motor to make the ride easier. Our Cube Touring Electric Bikes come with the choice of 4 power settings, so the rider can choose how much assistance to use. Our bikes come with sturdy German-engineered components and powerful Bosch-powered motors and batteries. The display unit is mounted centrally on the handlebars, which shows you your speed, which of the 4 power modes you are using and all the battery information you will need for a relaxing ride.

### How often will I need to charge the e-bike?

Our current fleet of Bosch-powered Touring E-Bikes can travel over 100 miles without re-charging, depending on the amount of assistance you require from the battery.

### How do we recharge the battery?

You will be provided with a charger. The battery can be charged on the bike or can easily be removed from the bike and taken to a convenient place to be charged overnight.
