This was a great experience. I do think the low tide hampers ones ability to enjoy it fully. Obviously this cant be avoided. Next time I'll book outside of low tides. Otherwise fun and good to be in nature. Will book again.
Learning to sail is both fun and exciting, especially in the beautiful surroundings of Christchurch, Dorset. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basics, ensuring you have a memorable and rewarding time on the water.
On the first day, you'll be introduced to the boat and equipment, learning essential techniques like tacking (basic turns) and using the sails to start and stop. The day will be filled with hands-on practice under the guidance of our instructors.
On the second day, you'll build on these skills, learning more advanced techniques and gaining the confidence needed to sail on your own. There will be plenty of practice time and feedback sessions to ensure you are comfortable and skilled by the end of the course.
Our courses are held in the scenic town of Christchurch, Dorset. The location offers a perfect blend of calm waters for beginners and more challenging conditions as your skills improve.
Participants must be at least 8 years old and possess a basic swimming ability. No previous experience in sailing is required.
Our centre provides a welcoming and supportive environment for learners of all ages. Our RYA qualified instructors are passionate about sailing and dedicated to helping you achieve confidence and independence on the water.

We had an amazing time with bobby who was very polite and very chatty with the children and helped them with everything from getting there life jackets on properly to how to sit in the kayak and how to paddle, he was an extremely good instructor 😁

Our guide Lucy took us across Mudeford Harbour and around the Christchurch loop, she looked after us well. You often kayak against the wind to cross the harbour so the first part was challenging and we ended up needing to be towed by speedboat which got us drenched. The loop…
