Your adventure begins at Hazelhurst Farm, where your guide Steve will meet you and introduce the day's route. The tour starts with a ride past the striking Sway Tower, a 70-metre tall structure offering panoramic views from its 14 floors. Continuing on, you'll traverse quiet country lanes leading to the New Forest's gravel tracks. These paths will take you to the old railway line towards Brockenhurst.
From Brockenhurst, the route heads towards the Rhinefield Ornamental Drive and the Knightwood Oak, home to some of the oldest trees in the New Forest. A stop in the village of Burley is included, where you can enjoy a cappuccino and cake at Shappen Cafe to recharge. After refuelling, the tour continues through open heathland, before returning to Hazelhurst Farm via the old railway line.
Hazelhurst Farm is located in the charming village of Sway, nestled in the heart of the New Forest.
This scenic setting offers a perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding natural beauty and historical sites.
Participants should have a bike in good working order, including a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube, and a bike pump. Helmets must be within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
Ensure you bring appropriate clothing for varying weather conditions, including warm layers and waterproofs. Refreshments for on-ride refuelling and sufficient water or energy drinks are also necessary.
Our tours are led by a fully qualified Mountain Bike Leader with Level 2 accreditation from British Cycling, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. All our guides are DBS checked and approved, and are also trained in outdoor first aid.
We carry public liability insurance through British Cycling, giving you peace of mind as you explore the New Forest. Our commitment to safety and expertise ensures that every ride is both exhilarating and safe.
If you have your own bike then please bring it along. If needed, we can arrange for bike hire for you.
We can offer standard mountain bikes or e-bikes, bikes come from Cyclexperience in Brockenhurst.

Please bring your own money or card to purchase any drinks or snacks you require.
Please bring warm clothing and waterproofs depending on the weather conditions on the day. You'll also need food for on-ride refuelling, such as energy bars, and sufficient water or energy drinks to stay hydrated.
