A good operator moves you to another canyon or a highland day, or they don't run. That's weather and water, not bad luck you can argue with.

How many nights in Madaba?

One or two. Enough for the Siq morning without a pre-dawn drive from Amman. Then continue south to Karak, Dana or Petra.

Can I visit Mount Nebo and Mujib the same day?

Nebo is a short add. Mujib is the physical day. Do the gorge first while you have energy. Save viewpoints for after, if at all.

Things to do in Madaba

Madaba is the mosaic town above Wadi Mujib and a natural King's Highway stop. If you want the Siq, this is the usual inland base. The town is civilised. The gorge is not. You swim, scramble and get cold in the shade while the rim bakes.
