Is Corozal good for scuba?

Not compared with Ambergris, Caulker or Placencia. Come for the bay and the border mainland.

Can I get here from Chetumal?

Yes, that's a common overland entry. Build in border time. Don't book a dawn boat the same morning.

How long should I stay?

One or two nights if it's a land-border pause. More only if the bay is the point of the trip.

Does it pair with Lamanai?

Geographically yes. Logistically, Orange Walk is the usual Lamanai base. Check the meeting point rather than assuming a Corozal hotel includes the boat.

Things to do in Corozal

Corozal is the northernmost district, on Chetumal Bay, with Mexico next door. Quieter mainland, lagoon-side days, and not the main reef. You'll come if the border and the bay are useful, or if you want a night that isn't a caye or San Ignacio.

Bay time, not Barrier Reef walls

Think kayaks, birds and a slower shore, not Hol Chan. Lamanai is easier from Orange Walk. Combine Corozal with that river day if you're already in the north. Open the Book here tab for whatever actually runs. This isn't a high-volume dive strip.
