Trail running takes running off the tarmac and onto the good stuff: woodland paths, hill tracks and mountain trails. The uneven ground, the climbs and the scenery make it a world away from pounding pavements, and most people find it far more absorbing for it. You watch your feet, you breathe the air, and the miles look after themselves.
You do not need to be fast. Walking the steep bits is completely normal, even encouraged, and the focus is on the terrain and the views rather than the clock. Guided runs and skills sessions help with pacing, navigation and confidence on rougher ground.
The guides and coaches on adventuro run trail sessions and guided runs for all levels. Decent trail shoes and a sense of adventure are most of what you need.
