Hang-gliding is flight at its most elegant. You hang beneath a large fabric wing, shift your weight to steer, and ride rising air to stay up, sometimes for hours. There is no engine and very little noise, just the wind and the view, which is why pilots get a faraway look when they talk about it.

Most people start with a tandem flight alongside an experienced pilot, which needs no experience at all. If it grabs you, training takes you towards flying solo, step by careful step.
