Sport climbing and deep water soloing
The Tramuntana's crags — around Sa Gubia, Alaró, Valldemossa and beyond — offer accessible, well-bolted single- and multi-pitch sport climbing on excellent limestone, much of it climbable through the cooler months when northern Europe is frozen. The sea cliffs, most famously at Cala Barques and Cova del Diablo, are the spiritual home of deep water soloing, where falls are caught by deep water below. Guided sessions are the safest way to experience DWS if you don't know the venues and tides.
