Singapore's southern coast and islands are the saltwater half of the city-state — Sentosa and the Southern Islands for scuba, snorkel and sailing, and the long East Coast Park corridor for kayaking, SUP, coastal cycling and wakeboarding. Shipping traffic, monsoon chop and variable visibility mean centres choose sites day-of; book morning slots when you can, and treat afternoon thunderstorms as normal rather than a surprise.
Sentosa and the Southern Islands
Around Sentosa, scuba diving and snorkelling work local reefs, walls and wrecks, with try-dives for first-timers and guided reef days for certified divers. Sailing schools use the straits when winds are clean. Sisters' Islands Marine Park and neighbouring islets add quieter snorkel and nature landings when boat schedules align — always with a licensed operator.
East Coast water sports
Along East Coast, a park ribbon faces the Singapore Strait: kayaking, paddleboarding, coastal cycling and wakeboarding at lagoons and cable parks. It is the easiest place on the island to string a half-day water session onto a city stay. Open the Book here tab for dates.
