Get ready to connect with the wind and sea through a comprehensive windsurfing course in the sheltered waters of Alcudia Bay. Suitable for beginners and those aiming to improve, the course offers tailored instruction and plenty of practical time on the water. Options include a 1-day or 2-day format, both featuring class sessions plus supervised practice to enhance your skills.
The course kicks off with a theoretical introduction covering the basics of windsurfing, including sail parts, wind direction, and essential safety rules. Following this, the majority of the time is spent on the water applying these principles with close guidance from your instructor. You will focus on building balance, mastering sail control, and learning fundamental manoeuvres like tacking and gybing, with repeated practice to build confidence.
After the structured lessons, there is a dedicated free practice period where you can experiment with your new skills independently while remaining under instructor supervision. For those who already have some windsurfing experience, the sessions can be customised to focus on refining technique and tackling more advanced moves.
Puerto de Alcudia is an excellent venue for windsurfing tuition, thanks to its calm, spacious bay on Mallorca’s northern coast. The area offers steady, gentle breezes that create ideal conditions for learning without overwhelming less experienced sailors.
Facilities are conveniently located nearby, providing easy access to changing rooms and secure equipment storage. The protected waters of the bay ensure a safe environment where students can focus fully on technique development without worrying about rough seas or strong currents.
No prior windsurfing experience is necessary, making the course suitable for total beginners as well as those seeking to improve. A moderate level of physical fitness and comfort in the water will enhance your learning experience.
Basic swimming skills are advised since sessions involve significant time on the water. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key factors that will help you progress smoothly.
Expert instruction and personalised coaching form the foundation of the learning experience here. Qualified instructors bring extensive teaching experience and tailor each session to individual needs, ensuring safety and enjoyment throughout the course. The blend of formal lessons and guided practice encourages rapid skill development in a supportive environment.
All equipment provided is well maintained and appropriate for a range of skill levels, featuring boards and sails designed for beginners and intermediate windsurfers. Small group sizes and the calm bay setting combine to offer focused, effective tuition praised for its friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

You’ll have access to full on-site facilities, including changing rooms, toilets, and secure lockers for your belongings. This makes it easy to change in and out of your gear before and after your session, without needing to arrive already prepared. The facilities are kept clean and well-maintained for your comfort and convenience.
As part of the activity, all necessary safety and technical equipment is provided. This includes professional-grade nautical equipment, buoyancy vests, and insurance cover for both liability and accidents. The aim is to provide a safe, comfortable, and well-supported experience from start to finish, with everything you need available on-site.
If weather conditions on the day of your reservation prevent the activity from going ahead, there’s no need to worry. Your booking is flexible, and the team will work with you to reschedule for another available slot before the end of your holiday. This means you won’t miss out due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
Mallorca’s weather can change quickly, but safety is always the priority. If the forecast poses any risk or would negatively impact the quality of the session, the activity will be postponed. In most cases, an alternative day can be found, and you’ll be informed in plenty of time if there’s any need to rearrange.
The activity takes place in a designated area within the bay at Port d’Alcudia, which is known for its calm waters and scenic surroundings. There’s a clearly marked nautical channel that ensures a safe and organised area for watersports. This location allows for a safe and enjoyable experience regardless of your ability level, making it suitable for most participants.
The full address is Paseo Marítimo, 1, 07400 Port d’Alcudia, on the island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. The port area is easy to access and well-equipped, with nearby cafes and facilities if you want to relax before or after your session. The calm conditions of the bay also make it an ideal location for first-time participants or those looking to build confidence on the water.
To get the most out of your session, it's recommended to come prepared with a few basic items. You’ll need a swimsuit, a cap or visor for sun protection, sunglasses, and sunscreen to help protect against the midday heat. A towel is also a good idea for drying off afterwards, especially if you’re planning to change at the on-site facilities.
For your feet, bring water shoes such as flip-flops, aqua booties or other non-slip footwear. This will help you move comfortably around the shore and equipment area, especially if surfaces are wet or uneven. Staying hydrated is also important, so bringing a water bottle is advisable, particularly on hotter days.
