Spend a full day on a challenging canyoning route built around waterfall descents in Bali's jungle canyons. You abseil, scramble, and move through flowing water with a professional guide team, using full safety kit from start to finish.
After hotel collection you reach the base camp for a safety briefing, gear fitting, and a light breakfast. The canyon section focuses on waterfall abseils, controlled slides, and pool landings for around 3 hours of guided descents, with optional jumps where the guide judges conditions safe.
After the route you shower, change, eat lunch, then return by transfer, with an optional nearby stop when timing allows. Wear swimwear under the provided kit and bring a towel plus dry clothes. Keep phones and valuables in a waterproof case, or leave them secure if you prefer not to take them into the canyon. The outing runs only when water levels and conditions are safe.
The route sits in Bali's forested canyon country, with steep rock walls, rainforest cover, and clear pools fed by cascading water. Base camp is reached by included hotel transfer from many island hotels rather than a self drive to a remote trailhead.
This outing suits guests who want a more demanding descent focused day rather than a lighter mixed activity circuit. Exact collection times shift with your hotel location and traffic.
Guests should be at least 13, comfortable with heights and moving water, and fit enough for a long active day that includes abseiling and scrambling on wet rock. No formal canyoning qualification is required, but you should be ready for sustained physical effort.
If you have recent injuries, vertigo concerns, pregnancy, or very low water confidence, check suitability before booking. Many guests who are not strong swimmers still complete the day with buoyancy aids and close guide supervision.
You get English speaking guides, full canyoning kit, and a clear day plan from collection through briefing, canyon time, lunch, and drop off. Hotel transfers, breakfast, and lunch are already in the package so logistics stay simple once you confirm your address.
The focus is a well briefed waterfall day with practical support so you can concentrate on the descents. Guides manage each rope pitch and set safe lines while you follow their calls.
Your driver collects you from your hotel or villa within the service area, usually around 07:00 depending on location. Use the drive to check you have swimwear, a towel, and dry clothes ready for after the canyon.
At base camp you meet the guiding team for a clear safety briefing covering abseil technique, communication, and canyon etiquette. Helmets, harnesses, and wetsuits are fitted, then you have a light breakfast before walking into the route.
For around 3 hours you move through a challenging canyon sequence focused on waterfall abseils, wet rock travel, and clear pool landings. Guides manage each rope pitch and set safe lines while you stay clipped in and follow their calls.
Back at base camp you shower, change, and enjoy the included local-style lunch. When timing allows there may be a short optional visit to a nearby attraction before the transfer returns you to your hotel, typically wrapping by mid-afternoon.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included for guests staying within the service area. Share your hotel or villa details after booking so the driver can confirm a pick-up time.
If your stay is outside the usual pick-up radius, contact the host before booking to confirm whether a transfer can still be arranged or whether an alternative meeting point applies.
Plan for around 8 hours from hotel pick-up to drop-off. That usually includes travel time, briefing, gear fitting, around 3 hours in the canyon, lunch, and the return transfer.
Pick-up and drop-off times shift with your hotel location and traffic. Your confirmation will give a clearer window once the host has your address.
Yes. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included for guests staying within the usual service area. After booking you should send your hotel or villa name so the driver can set a morning collection time.
If you are staying farther away, ask before you book. Transfers outside the standard radius may need a different arrangement or may not be available on every date.
The minimum age is 13. Younger children cannot join this canyoning product even if they are strong swimmers.
Adults booking with a 13+ teenager should stay close on the day and help them follow the guide's instructions during the briefing and on the route.
This listing is pitched as challenging and suits improvers more than first-timers looking for a gentle introduction. Expect waterfall abseils, wet rock underfoot, and a sustained active morning.
Guides brief every major move and manage rope work, but you still need solid fitness and a calm head around heights and flowing water.
No formal canyoning qualification is required. The team fits your kit, explains each technique, and stays with you through the descents.
You should still be ready for an energetic day. If heights, abseiling, or uneven wet ground make you anxious, speak to the host before booking so they can advise honestly.
Yes. A local-style lunch is included after you finish the canyon section, along with snacks and a light breakfast at base camp earlier in the day.
If you have allergies or a strict diet, tell the host when you book. They can advise what is usually available and whether you should bring a small supplement snack.
Wear swimwear under the kit provided on the day. Bring a towel, dry clothes for afterwards, waterproof sunscreen, and a bag for wet items.
Secure glasses with a strap if you need them. Leave expensive jewellery at your accommodation if you can. A waterproof camera is optional if you want photos in the canyon.
No. Jumps are usually optional and only offered where the guide judges depth and conditions safe. You can often use an alternative line if you prefer not to jump.
Abseils and other controlled descents are a core part of this waterfall-focused route, so you should be comfortable with rope-assisted moves even if you skip jumps.
Canyoning depends on water levels and local weather. Heavy rain or unsafe flow can mean a delay, a route change, or a cancellation for safety.
If the outing cannot run, the host will contact you about the next steps under the booking cancellation terms. Do not assume the day is cancelled just because there is light rain in the morning.
Many guests who are not strong swimmers still complete the day because you wear a buoyancy aid or equivalent kit and stay under guide supervision. You should still be comfortable around deep pools and happy to follow instructions closely.
If you have very low water confidence, a recent injury, or a medical condition that affects balance or breathing, speak to the host before booking.
