Early morning skies over Luxor set the scene for a calm balloon flight that rises above temples, riverbanks, and desert landscapes as the sun comes up. With hotel pickup included, the experience is organised to run smoothly from start to finish, giving time to enjoy the views once airborne. A light breakfast and refreshments are included before or after the flight depending on timing.
Hotel pickup takes place before sunrise, followed by transfer to the launch area where the balloon is prepared for flight. Once on site, a short safety briefing is given before boarding, covering take-off and landing procedures. As the burner fills the balloon, you’ll gradually lift off and begin a steady climb above the West Bank.
Views open up quickly as the balloon rises, revealing the River Nile, temples, and surrounding desert plains. The flight continues for a set period while the pilot adjusts altitude for different perspectives, including areas around major archaeological sites. After landing, a short celebration and flight certificate are provided before returning to your hotel with refreshments included.
The flight takes place over Luxor, one of Egypt’s most historic regions where ancient monuments line both sides of the Nile. Launch sites are located on the West Bank, providing direct access to open airspace above key archaeological areas.
The surrounding landscape combines farmland, river views, and desert edges, creating varied scenery during the flight. Conditions are typically calm in the early morning, which supports stable take-off and smooth flight paths over the valley.
No previous experience is needed, as full instructions are provided before take-off. The ground crew manages all preparation, including boarding and safety checks.
Participants should be comfortable standing for short periods during launch and landing. Warm clothing is recommended in cooler months due to early morning temperatures at altitude.
