Sunset Buggy Ride in Durres

Take the wheel on a sunset buggy convoy from the Durres coast into rolling hills and off-road trails timed for golden-hour light. A guide leads the route through countryside above Long Beach and Golem, with stops for photos as the sky shifts from warm afternoon tones into evening colour over the Adriatic. It is a memorable way to end a beach day with engine noise, open views and soft light rather than another restaurant reservation on the promenade.

📋 Key Details

• Duration: 3 hours
• Location: Golem and Durres coast hinterland
• Minimum age: 18 years (driver)
• Group size: 1 to 2 guests per buggy
• Meeting point: Grand Blue Fafa Resort and Spa, Long Beach, Golem

🗺️ What to Expect

Your experience begins with registration, licence checks and a thorough safety briefing at Grand Blue Fafa Resort before you set off in a two-seater buggy following the guide inland from Long Beach. You practice the controls in the yard until everyone feels confident, then the convoy heads along gravel tracks, hillside paths and open viewpoints as afternoon light begins to soften over the Adriatic.

The route winds through pine edges and open country with sweeping views back towards the coast, mixing steady cruising with livelier off-road sections suited to beginners and more experienced riders alike. Pause at scenic viewpoints as the sun lowers towards the horizon, with time for photos and a short break while hills and sea turn golden during the best part of the evening.

Swap driver and passenger on the return leg if both guests hold a valid licence and want to share the wheel before rolling back to the resort. The full loop lasts around three hours from briefing to return, timed with season so you catch the best evening light without losing your whole afternoon to the trails.

📍 Location

Golem and Long Beach sit south of Durres city along Albania's Adriatic shore, where resort hotels meet pine-backed hills and quiet farm tracks just inland from the sand. The buggy route heads away from the busy seafront promenade into terrain that feels rural and uncrowded compared with central Durres beaches.

Evening light here often paints the hills in warm tones, making this a popular choice for couples and friends who want an active highlight without committing a full day away from the coast. Wide viewpoints above Long Beach let you watch the Adriatic change colour as the sun drops, which is hard to replicate from a ground-floor bar on the strip.

✅ Prerequisites

Drivers must be eighteen or older with a valid driving licence and should be comfortable operating a buggy on bumpy tracks with dust and breeze on open trails. Wear long trousers and closed shoes, and bring a wind or light jacket because coastal hills can feel cooler once the sun starts to drop.

No prior off-road experience is required beyond the on-site briefing, but you should be happy with hillside gradients and uneven surfaces on established tracks. Passengers who will not drive still need to meet the minimum age requirement and should be comfortable with three hours of open-air riding including photo stops.

⭐ Why Choose Us

A sunset-timed format means you see the landscape in its most photogenic light without losing a whole day from your holiday or missing dinner plans on the beach. Guided convoy travel keeps navigation simple on unfamiliar farm tracks while still feeling adventurous on gravel and hillside sections above the coast.

Meeting at a well-known resort on Long Beach makes the start point easy to find for guests staying anywhere along the Golem strip south of Durres. The three-hour length gives more riding time and viewpoint stops than a shorter loop, which suits guests who want scenery and driving rather than a quick spin around a single field.
