Quad Adventure Ride at La Vallée des Couleurs (450cc)

This one-hour quad adventure focuses more on riding time and varied terrain, using a 450cc quad for responsive handling. It’s a good option for riders who want a more active route while still keeping the session accessible and guided.

🧭 Key Details

Duration: 1 hour
Engine size: 450cc
Guided: Yes
Terrain: Narrower dirt tracks, forest trails, uneven ground
Riding level: Confident beginners and above

🚜 What to Expect

The session starts with a structured safety briefing covering quad controls, braking, throttle use, and group riding rules. Helmets and safety equipment are provided, and there is time to get comfortable on the quad before moving onto the main trail. The guide checks rider confidence before setting off.

The adventure route follows a more engaging network of trails than the discovery ride, with tighter turns, changing surfaces, and sections that require more active steering and control. While still suitable for capable first-time riders, the emphasis is on continuous riding rather than frequent stops. The 450cc quad keeps the handling manageable while allowing steady progress across uneven ground.

Short pauses are built into the ride at selected viewpoints, including areas near the coloured earth formations and waterfalls. These stops are brief and functional, allowing time to regroup, take photos, and receive short explanations before continuing the loop back to the start.

📍 Location

The ride takes place inside a large nature park in the south of Mauritius, known for its volcanic terrain, forested sections, and purpose-built off-road trails. The layout allows quad routes to move through quieter areas while still accessing key natural landmarks.

Set inland, the environment contrasts with the island’s coastal areas and offers a mix of river crossings, woodland tracks, and open viewpoints. On-site parking and basic visitor facilities are available for those arriving independently.

✅ Prerequisites

No formal quad biking experience is required, but riders should be comfortable controlling a motorised vehicle on uneven terrain. This route suits those who feel confident steering, braking, and reacting to changing trail conditions.

Closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and clothing should be suitable for dust and mud. Riders must be able to follow instructions and maintain control throughout the ride.

🌍 Why Choose Us

This route is designed for riders who want more engagement from their quad session without stepping up to a higher-powered machine. The 450cc quad offers responsive handling while keeping the ride approachable and controlled.

Guides lead each group with a clear focus on safety and pacing, ensuring the route remains enjoyable while maintaining access to the park’s most recognisable features. Entrance to the nature park is included, keeping the experience straightforward on arrival.
