Your own speedboat, your own snorkel stops: this private Marsa Alam charter lets you set the pace along the reef rather than sharing deck space on a group boat. Ideal when you want flexibility on timing and a quieter run to the water.
Having the hull to yourselves changes the entire rhythm of a Marsa Alam morning on the water, and the speedboat run to Marsa Mubarak feels personal from the first push off the quay. Wind in your face, spray on the deck, and no strangers crowding the railings set a tone that group boats rarely match. The four-hour window belongs to your party alone, which means reef stops can stretch or shorten based on what you are enjoying rather than a fixed timetable.
Marsa Mubarak unfolds in unhurried reef passes where your group alone decides how long to float above the coral. Turtles sometimes glide through the clear water below, and the protected reserve has a stillness that shared excursions often rush past. By the time you step back on shore, the outing has the feel of a tailored sea morning rather than a packaged circuit.
Marsa Alam sits on Egypt's southern Red Sea coast. Marsa Mubarak is a protected reef area used for this private snorkel run, a short speedboat ride from the hotel strip.
We collect you from Marsa Alam hotels. You don't need to find the marina on your own, so keep your hotel name accurate when you reserve and wait where guest transfers usually collect.
Basic swimming comfort and a willingness to follow the briefing are the practical baseline. Closed-toe sandals help on a wet deck. Tell the skipper if anyone is a weak swimmer or would rather stay on board while others snorkel.
Infant seats are available on the road transfer. Pets may be allowed; confirm whether an animal can board the speedboat, because a fast wet deck is not always suitable. Bring sun protection; shade on a small hull is limited.
The charter is built as a private four-hour window rather than a shared boat with a fixed circuit. You stay with the same crew from pickup through the return, which keeps the reef stops orderly for your party alone.
Local skippers know the Marsa Mubarak line and can linger or shift a pin if the sea asks for it. Kit on board means you're not carrying fins through the hotel lobby.
We'll collect you from your Marsa Alam hotel and takes you to the quay used for private speedboat charters. Use the transfer to check you have swimwear, a towel, and sun protection. Stay in the lobby a few minutes early so the hotel round stays on time.
You board your own speedboat, meet the skipper, and steam toward Marsa Mubarak. Hold on when the hull comes off the plane, stash loose hats, and listen to the snorkel briefing. Seasickness remedies work best before you leave the quay.
Snorkel kit is issued on board and a guide stays with you on the Marsa Mubarak reefs. Look at coral and fish, give turtles space if they appear, and keep fins off the reef. The private format lets the skipper linger at a stop within the four-hour clock.
Between water stops you sit on deck, take in the coast, and reapply sun protection. There is no sit-down lunch on this charter, so use the pauses to drink water and rest. The skipper keeps an eye on the remaining time in the four-hour window.
After the last snorkel the boat returns to the quay and the transfer takes you back to your Marsa Alam hotel. Rinse salt off if there is a chance at the marina, keep a dry layer for the van, and stow wet kit so it does not soak seats.
The charter is planned as four hours on the water, plus hotel collection and the return to your Marsa Alam stay. That block covers the steam to Marsa Mubarak, snorkel time on the protected reefs, and a flexible pace on a private boat rather than a packed group circuit. Leave a little extra at either end for the road transfer.
Hotel locations along the coast change the pickup window a little. Stay in the lobby early with swimwear under a cover-up so you can move straight from the van to the quay briefing.
Yes. Collection from Marsa Alam hotels is included, so you do not need a taxi to the marina. Confirm your hotel name when you reserve so the driver can plan the round. You receive a pickup window rather than a public quay to find on your own.
Wait where guest transfers usually collect if the hotel has more than one gate. Bring a towel and sun protection in a small bag, because shade on a speedboat is limited once you are under way.
Yes. This product is a private speedboat rather than a shared group boat, so your party has the vessel for the four-hour window. The group range is one to fifteen guests, which is the practical ceiling for who can share that private charter. Confirm your party size when you reserve so the skipper can plan seating and kit.
A smaller party still gets the same Marsa Mubarak reefs and snorkel gear. The crew can slow or linger at a stop more easily than on a packed boat, within the four-hour clock and the sea conditions that morning.
Yes. High-quality snorkel kit is issued on board, with expert guidance in the water at Marsa Mubarak. You do not need to travel with your own mask and fins, though you can bring a mask you already like. This is snorkelling, not a scuba course.
Basic swimming comfort helps. Stay with the guide, watch the boat when you surface, and keep fins off the coral. If anyone in the party is a weak swimmer, say so at the briefing so they can stay closer to the hull.
Marsa Mubarak is a protected reef area off Marsa Alam, used on this charter for snorkel stops. Colourful coral and fish are the usual picture; sea turtles can appear but are never guaranteed. Treat wildlife as possible encounters rather than a checklist.
Give animals space, do not chase, and keep your distance from turtle resting spots. The four-hour window is shared between steaming, snorkelling, and time on deck looking at the coast.
Lunch is not included. Four hours on a private speedboat is a snorkel charter, not a full-day restaurant boat. Eat before you leave or plan a meal after the return to your hotel. Bring water if you like a bottle to hand.
A little cash covers tips. If the crew offer extra drinks on board, treat those as extras unless they say otherwise on the day.
Swimwear, a towel, sun protection, a cover-up for the deck, and a dry bag for phones are the useful kit. Sandals that stay on help on a wet deck. Cash covers tips. A rash vest reduces sun between snorkel stops.
Tie glasses on a strap; speedboat wind can take a loose hat. Infant seats can be used on the road transfer if you are travelling with a very young child who may not enter the water.
The day is easy-paced, with guided snorkelling. You still need to be comfortable in the sea with a mask and to follow the skipper on a moving boat. The private format helps mixed ages, as long as everyone listens at the briefing and holds on when the hull comes off the plane.
If anyone is prone to seasickness, take what you normally use before pickup. Sit where the skipper suggests until you have a feel for the ride. Coastal calm from your balcony is not always the same as conditions at Marsa Mubarak.
Infant seats are available on the transfer. Pets may be discussed; confirm when you reserve. A speedboat deck is wet and fast, so a pet on the water is not always practical even if the road transfer can take one.
Ask the team before assuming an animal can board. Young children who are not snorkelling can still travel with the hotel pickup if a seat is arranged; whether they enter the water is a separate decision for the crew on the day.
This is a water day and it requires good sea conditions. Wind, swell, and poor visibility can change the Marsa Mubarak stops, shorten time in the water, or keep the boat in more sheltered bays. The skipper decides on the morning whether the reserve line is sensible.
A private boat can still adapt the route within the four-hour window. If you are flexible about exact snorkel pins, the day usually still runs when the sea is merely lively rather than unsafe.
