Spending a few hours on the water is one of the best ways to experience Tangier's coastline while trying your hand at fishing in the Mediterranean. Whether you're an experienced angler or picking up a rod for the first time, this private boat trip combines relaxing cruising with expert guidance and the chance to catch local fish.
After meeting your skipper at Tanja Marina Bay, you'll board a fully equipped fishing boat and receive a short safety briefing along with an introduction to the fishing equipment. Once everyone is ready, the boat heads along the Tangier coastline towards carefully selected fishing grounds based on the day's sea conditions and the season.
Around two and a half hours are spent fishing with professional equipment while your skipper provides assistance, advice, and tips throughout the session. Depending on the time of year, catches may include seabream, tuna, and other local species. Between casts, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the fresh sea air and views of the Moroccan coastline.
Following the fishing session, the boat makes a relaxed return journey to the marina, giving you the chance to take photographs, admire the scenery, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before arriving back at the harbour.
Departing from Tanja Marina Bay, this experience provides quick access to some of the most productive fishing areas along the Tangier coastline. The marina is conveniently located close to the city, making it an ideal starting point for a few hours on the Mediterranean.
Once away from the harbour, you'll enjoy open sea views alongside impressive coastal scenery as the skipper navigates towards fishing locations selected according to seasonal conditions. It's a great way to experience Tangier from a different perspective while spending time on the water.
No previous fishing experience is required, making this trip suitable for both beginners and experienced anglers. The skipper provides guidance throughout the experience and is available to assist with the equipment whenever needed.
Comfortable clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended. A light jacket may also be useful depending on the weather, and anyone prone to seasickness should consider bringing suitable medication before departure.
Each fishing trip is planned around local knowledge, seasonal conditions, and a genuine passion for spending time on the water. Rather than following fixed routes, skippers select fishing locations based on where conditions are most favourable, helping create an enjoyable and authentic experience.
Private trips allow guests to fish at their own pace while receiving individual guidance throughout the session. Professional equipment, experienced local skippers, and beautiful coastal scenery combine to create a memorable day on the Mediterranean.
