Few experiences compare to watching Lisbon glow in the evening light from the water. Reserved exclusively for your private group of up to 10 people, this two-hour sunset cruise combines famous landmarks, a peaceful atmosphere and the flexibility to enjoy the journey exactly as you choose.
After arriving at Doca de Alcântara, you'll be welcomed onboard by your skipper before setting off along the Tagus River. Following a brief safety introduction, the boat leaves the marina and heads towards Lisbon's famous waterfront, giving your group the chance to unwind while the city begins to take on its evening colours. With exclusive use of the boat, you can enjoy the experience in complete privacy, whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply spending time together.
Throughout the cruise, you'll enjoy uninterrupted views of many of Lisbon's best-known sights, including Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, MAAT, Praça do Comércio, Cristo Rei and the impressive 25 de Abril Bridge. As the sun gradually lowers, the changing light reflects across the river, creating excellent opportunities for photography while offering a completely different view of the city's skyline.
Should your group have any preferences, the skipper will adapt the pace of the journey wherever possible while taking weather and navigation into account. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks onboard, or optional catering can be arranged before departure if you'd rather have everything prepared in advance.
Located at Doca de Alcântara, the departure point is conveniently positioned close to central Lisbon and is easy to reach by taxi, public transport or rideshare services. The marina provides a straightforward starting point before heading out onto one of Portugal's most famous waterways.
From the Tagus River, Lisbon reveals a completely different side of itself. Historic monuments, colourful neighbourhoods and striking modern architecture line the waterfront, while the peaceful setting away from the busy streets allows you to appreciate the city from a fresh perspective.
Anyone looking for a relaxed experience on the water can enjoy this private cruise, making it suitable for couples, families and groups of up to 10 people. No previous boating or sailing experience is required, as your professional skipper will take care of every aspect of the journey.
Dressing comfortably will help you make the most of the trip, with flat footwear recommended for moving around the boat. It's also worth bringing sunglasses, sunscreen and a light jacket, as temperatures often become cooler once the sun begins to set. A camera or smartphone is highly recommended for capturing the views.
Creating memorable private experiences on the Tagus River is at the heart of every charter. Well-maintained boats, experienced skippers and a flexible approach allow every group to enjoy Lisbon in a comfortable, safe and personalised way without feeling tied to a rigid itinerary.
Attention to detail from the moment you arrive helps ensure your time on the water is relaxed and enjoyable. Whether you're planning a romantic evening, a family outing or a celebration with friends, you'll benefit from reliable service, local knowledge and an experience tailored to your group.
Absolutely. Your booking includes exclusive use of the entire boat for a private group of between 1 and 10 people. No other guests will join the cruise, allowing you to enjoy a more personal and relaxed atmosphere.
Exclusive hire also means you have the freedom to spend the journey exactly as you wish. Whether you're celebrating, sightseeing or simply enjoying the sunset, the experience is entirely focused on your group.
Bookings are available for private groups of up to 10 people. The price covers the whole boat rather than charging per guest, making it an excellent choice for families and groups travelling together.
Even if your group is smaller, you'll still have exclusive use of the boat and receive the same level of personalised service throughout the experience.
Expect to cruise past many of Lisbon's most recognisable riverside attractions, including Belém Tower, Praça do Comércio, MAAT, the Monument to the Discoveries, Cristo Rei and the 25 de Abril Bridge.
Viewing these landmarks from the water creates a completely different experience compared to visiting them on land. The evening light also provides ideal conditions for photography during much of the journey.
Yes. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks if they wish to personalise the experience. This gives you the flexibility to enjoy your preferred refreshments while cruising along the river.
Alternatively, catering options may be available as optional extras if arranged before departure. This can be a convenient choice for celebrations or special occasions.
Where practical, the skipper can adjust the pace of the tour to match your preferences while always considering weather, river traffic and safety requirements.
Although the overall route depends on navigation conditions, the private nature of the experience allows for a much more flexible and personalised cruise than a standard shared tour.
Yes. Families are welcome onboard, and the private setting makes the cruise particularly suitable for children accompanied by adults. It's an enjoyable way for all ages to experience Lisbon together.
Life-saving equipment is carried onboard, and the skipper will provide a safety briefing before departure to ensure everyone is comfortable throughout the journey.
Light, comfortable clothing is recommended, together with flat footwear suitable for moving around the boat. Sunglasses and sunscreen are useful during the earlier part of the cruise, particularly in the warmer months.
Because temperatures often become cooler after sunset, bringing a jacket or warm layer is strongly recommended. You'll also appreciate having a camera or smartphone ready for the views.
