Combining watersports with the feeling of gliding above the sea, eFoiling offers a completely different way to experience Ibiza’s coastline. Easy to learn and suitable for beginners, the electric-powered board allows riders to cruise smoothly across calm bays and open water while enjoying a quiet and environmentally friendly experience.
Before heading onto the water, you will receive basic instructions covering balance, controls, safety, and how to operate the eFoil comfortably. The board is designed to be beginner-friendly, making it suitable even for guests with little or no previous watersports experience. Once underway, the sensation changes from normal riding to smooth gliding as the foil lifts above the water, creating the feeling of flying quietly across the sea.
Guests can choose between a single battery setup providing around 1.5 hours of riding time or a two-battery package offering closer to 3 hours of use. Many riders use the eFoil alongside a boat charter around Ibiza and Formentera, stopping in calm bays and clear-water anchorages to ride between swimming sessions and relaxing onboard. Since the system runs electrically, the experience stays quiet and low-impact while still feeling fast, responsive, and exciting on the water.
Santa Eulalia is one of the most popular starting points for watersports experiences in Ibiza thanks to its calm bays, clear water, and easy access to sheltered coastal areas. Conditions around this part of the island are often ideal for beginners wanting smoother water while learning how to control the eFoil comfortably.
Nearby coastline includes quiet anchorages, turquoise swimming areas, and open sections of sea suitable for longer rides once confidence improves. Depending on weather conditions and boat routes on the day, riders may also have opportunities to explore less crowded parts of the Ibiza coastline from the water.
No previous eFoil or watersports experience is required, as the board is designed to be easy to learn with basic instruction included before use. Guests should feel comfortable in and around water and be prepared for occasional falls while learning during the first part of the session.
A fully charged battery and safety equipment are provided with the rental. Availability should be confirmed before the day of use, particularly during busy periods in Ibiza.
Operating around Ibiza’s coastline for several years has helped the local team understand the best areas and conditions for watersports activities on the island. Edgar and the crew focus on creating relaxed experiences that remain accessible to beginners while still feeling exciting and memorable on the water.
Respect for the marine environment also plays an important role in the activities offered. The electric-powered eFoil allows guests to enjoy the sea in a quieter and more environmentally conscious way without sacrificing speed or enjoyment during the experience.
Most beginners are surprised by how quickly they become comfortable using the eFoil after the initial instructions. The controls are designed to feel responsive but manageable, allowing riders to build confidence gradually before lifting fully above the water.
Balance improves quickly once you become familiar with the throttle and positioning on the board. Calm bays around Santa Eulalia also provide good learning conditions, especially for first-time riders wanting smoother water during the session.
Every rental includes the eFoil board, a fully charged battery, safety equipment, and basic learning guidance before use. Guests can choose between one battery package with approximately 1.5 hours of riding time or a two-battery option providing closer to 3 hours of use.
Safety equipment is supplied to help riders feel comfortable during the experience, particularly while learning. The setup is designed to keep the session straightforward and easy to organise alongside a boat charter or day on the water.
The eFoil is suitable for complete beginners and does not require previous watersports experience to enjoy. Basic guidance is provided before use, helping riders understand how to control speed, balance, and turning before heading out onto open water.
Many first-time riders begin slowly while lying or kneeling on the board before progressing to standing as confidence improves. Most guests are able to start gliding comfortably after a relatively short amount of practice.
The single battery option provides approximately 1.5 hours of riding time, while the larger package includes two batteries with around 3 hours of total use available throughout the session. Actual battery duration may vary slightly depending on rider weight, speed, and water conditions.
Because the batteries are fully charged before delivery, guests can start using the eFoil immediately once ready. Many groups alternate riders throughout the session to maximise usage and keep the experience social.
Unlike petrol-powered watersports equipment, the eFoil runs entirely on electric batteries, meaning it produces no direct emissions and operates very quietly on the water. This helps reduce noise while allowing riders to enjoy the sea in a more environmentally conscious way.
The quieter operation also changes the feeling of the experience itself, creating smoother and more peaceful riding conditions compared to louder motorised alternatives. Many guests enjoy the calm sensation of gliding silently across the water.
