Set off on a guided coastal drive that combines open-road driving with some of the best viewpoints along Mallorca’s east coast. This session blends relaxed stops, scenic routes, and a refreshing swim break to round things off. It’s a well-paced way to experience the island from behind the wheel.
After a short introduction and safety briefing, the session begins with time to get comfortable in the buggy before heading out onto the open road. The route follows a mix of coastal and inland roads, giving you a good balance of steady driving and more winding sections. Throughout the drive, your guide leads the way, ensuring a smooth pace while pointing out key stops along the route.
One of the first highlights is a stop near Porto Cristo, where you can take in views from a coastal fire tower and stretch your legs. From there, the drive continues towards Portocolom, where Sa Punta Bay offers a wide-open viewpoint over the sea. This section of the route is known for its gentle curves and scenic stretches, making it particularly enjoyable behind the wheel.
Later in the session, you’ll reach Cala d'Or and visit Es Fortí, a historic coastal fortress with a very different atmosphere. The final part of the drive leads to Cala Murada, where there’s time for a swim stop if you’d like to cool off. A small restaurant is available here for drinks or a light snack before heading back, rounding off the experience with a relaxed finish.
This session takes place along the east coast of Mallorca, an area known for its mix of coastal roads, small bays, and traditional seaside towns. The route connects several well-known spots including Porto Cristo, Portocolom, Cala d'Or, and Cala Murada, giving a varied look at this side of the island.
Driving through this region offers a mix of open sea views and quieter inland sections, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the surroundings. The roads are well-suited to this type of experience, offering a balance of comfort and variety without the need for off-road driving.
Drivers must hold a valid Category B driving licence and must bring the original document on the day. A minimum of one year’s driving experience is required, and drivers should feel confident handling a manual transmission vehicle, as all buggies are manual.
Passengers can join the session, making it suitable for those who prefer not to drive. Sensible footwear is required, and participants should come prepared for sun exposure, with items such as sunglasses and sunscreen recommended.
Founded by Christine and Christian, the team has been running guided driving experiences in Mallorca since 2013, growing from a small idea into one of the most popular activities on the island’s east coast. Their focus has always been on creating enjoyable, well-organised routes that highlight the best of the area.
All tours are designed with safety and sustainability in mind, following carefully planned roads that respect local regulations while still offering an engaging driving experience. With thousands of highly rated reviews, the approach is simple: reliable vehicles, experienced guides, and routes that consistently deliver a great day out.
Off-road driving is not permitted in Mallorca, so this session takes place entirely on public roads. All routes are carefully planned to follow scenic coastal and inland areas while staying within local regulations.
Although there is no off-road element, the experience still offers plenty of variety, with open roads, gentle curves, and viewpoints along the way. The focus is on enjoying the drive itself while taking in the surroundings in a responsible way.
Drivers must hold a valid Category B driving licence (formerly Class 3) and bring the original document with them on the day. Photocopies or digital versions are not accepted.
Minimum age and experience requirements vary depending on the vehicle used during this session. In general, drivers should be comfortable behind the wheel and have at least some prior driving experience.
If a driver arrives without their original driving licence, they will not be able to take part in driving during this session. This is a strict requirement and cannot be waived under any circumstances.
As the vehicle will have been reserved in advance, refunds are not available in this situation. If space allows, there may be the option to join as a passenger instead, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Participants should bring their original driving licence if they plan to drive, along with suitable clothing for the conditions. Closed-toe shoes are required, and items such as sunglasses are strongly recommended.
In warmer weather, applying sunscreen in advance is advised, and bringing a small cloth for the seat can be useful. It’s also worth having some cash on hand for any short stops during the session.
Yes, the route includes several planned stops where you can step out of the buggy, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings. These breaks are spaced out to keep the drive comfortable and enjoyable.
There is also a longer stop at Cala Murada, where you can swim if you wish. A small restaurant is available here for drinks or snacks, although these are not included in the session.
Driver changes may be possible during the session, but this must be arranged and paid for on the day. Both drivers must meet all requirements, including licence and age restrictions.
The change will be managed at a suitable stop along the route, ensuring it can be done safely without disrupting the group. It’s best to mention this in advance if you are considering it.
The buggies are equipped with 1300cc engines and are designed for road use, offering a balance of power and control. They are well-suited to the mix of coastal and inland roads used during the session.
They are regularly checked and maintained, with daily inspections covering key safety components. This helps ensure a smooth and reliable driving experience throughout.
