Six zip lines run through the forest above El Macho waterfall in El Valle de Antón. You hike to the first platform with at least two canopy specialists, ride the cables, then swim in the natural pool before time in town.
Harnesses go on in the crater, then you hike to the first canopy platform with two specialists, climbing toward about 850 m through forest held as park for decades. On the first platform you watch a live demonstration, clip in, and leave the boardwalk for the cable. The six stations run as one block of about an hour and a half, with extra calls as the lines change.
One station flies above El Macho waterfall, so you see the fall from the cable. Between platforms you walk short forest links, still in harness, then after the last cable you swim in the natural pool below. Town time afterwards is the farmers market and a lunch you pay for yourself before the drive back to Panama City.
Forest rims the streets of El Valle, a compact town inside a wide inhabited crater in Coclé. The zip line hangs over canopy and a named waterfall inside a national park that has been held as forest for decades.
The day starts and finishes in Panama City or Playa Bonita. After the lines, town is where you eat and wander.
Children from 6 can join when they meet the 220 lb weight cap and can follow a safety brief. No previous zip-line experience is needed; specialists fit the harness and demonstrate the first descent before you leave the platform. Closed shoes with grip are required, and slippers or open sandals are not allowed.
This day is not recommended if you are pregnant or if you have cardiopulmonary or lumbar issues. The operator runs rain or shine, so pack a light layer. You should be happy hiking to the first station and clipping in at height.
Two canopy specialists stay with the group, so the first platform is a full lesson before you clip in. Groups stay at ten, which keeps the six stations moving in the heat. Hector has guided in Panama since 2015, and that small-group habit runs from the hotel door to the last cable.
Harness hire, park entry and bottled water sit in the price. You choose lunch in town afterwards, and we work in English, Spanish and French so families can follow the brief in the language they actually use.
Hotel pickup in Panama City or Playa Bonita and the drive west on the Pan-American Highway into El Valle de Antón, about 1 hour 45 minutes. The crater rims rise as you leave the lowlands, and you use the ride to check shoes, hair ties and the 220 lb limit with your guide.
Specialists fit harnesses, walk you to the first platform, and demonstrate the descent before you clip in. You then ride six zip lines through the forest, including a station above El Macho waterfall, with extra instructions as the cables change. The canopy block is about 1 hour 30 minutes: you fly, walk a short forest link still in harness, then clip in again.
After the last cable you have about an hour at the natural pool to swim and cool down in crater water under the forest. Bring the towel from the van. This is the reset after the lines, a full swim before town.
Free time in El Valle for the farmers market, souvenir shops and lunch, which you pay for on the day. You may also see La India Dormida from the valley. Then we drive back to your hotel in Panama City or Playa Bonita.
No. Specialists fit your harness, walk you through the safety steps, and give a live example on the first descent before you leave the platform. Extra reminders come at later stations as the lines change.
Listen, keep your hands where they tell you, and say if a child in your group needs a slower start. First-timers are expected on this day.
Minimum age is 6. The weight limit on the lines is 220 lb. Both apply, so a tall teenager over the cap cannot ride even if they are with the family.
If a parent wants to hike and watch from the pool while a child rides, tell the specialists at kit-up. The hike to the first station is still part of the day for anyone who zips.
Yes. This day is set to run rain or shine. Cables and platforms can be slick, so the brief matters more in wet weather.
Bring a light layer and dry clothes for town. Lightning or a park closure can still stop a session, but ordinary rain is not a reason the operator waits at the hotel.
Lunch is not included. After the pool you have time in El Valle to eat, walk the farmers market and buy small souvenirs. Budget for a meal in town.
Bottled water is included on the transfer. If you want a bigger breakfast in the city, eat before pickup, because the zip block comes before the lunch window.
The canopy block is about 1 hour 30 minutes, covering six stations after the hike to the first platform. One line runs above El Macho waterfall. The natural pool after that is about an hour, including a swim.
The rest of the eight hours is the highway transfer, town time and the return. You eat in El Valle after the pool, then we drive you back to your hotel in Panama City or Playa Bonita.
Hotels in Panama City and Playa Bonita. Be in the lobby about 30 minutes before the listed start. The drive into El Valle is about 1 hour 45 minutes depending on traffic.
We return you to the same hotel area. If you are staying outside those zones, tell us when you book so we can say whether a nearby hotel stop is possible.
Closed shoes with grip, clothes you can hike and zip in, and swimwear for the pool. Slippers and open sandals are not allowed. Tie long hair and skip loose scarves that can catch on kit.
A towel and a dry shirt make the town stop more comfortable. Leave dangling jewellery in the vehicle if you can.
The group is capped at 10. At least two canopy specialists work the platforms, and your tour guide stays with you from the hotel.
Smaller numbers are common. You still move as one party from the first station through the pool, so late arrivals at pickup delay everyone.
Briefings run in English, Spanish or French. Ask for the language you want when you book so the talk on the first platform stays in one language from the start.
Calls on the cable stay short and practical: brake, legs, wait. A child who only speaks one of those languages should zip with an adult who can repeat the calls at each station.
Cancel at least 48 hours before your date for a full refund, through your booking tools or customer care. Inside 48 hours the Flexible terms apply.
If we cannot operate because of force majeure and cannot move you to another date, you receive a full refund. Keep your confirmation number to hand.
