Ride into the hills above Patong on a guided ATV adventure that combines mountain trails, jungle paths and sweeping views across the bay. This four-hour off-road experience offers varied terrain and elevated viewpoints, ideal for riders looking for moderate challenge and strong scenery.
Your ride begins with check-in at the base near Kalim Beach, followed by a structured safety briefing and equipment fitting. Instructors demonstrate throttle control, braking technique and body positioning for uphill and downhill riding. Helmets and all necessary ATV equipment are provided before moving to a short familiarisation section.
From there, you’ll head into mountain trails and jungle routes above Patong. The terrain includes winding dirt paths, uneven sections and gradual climbs that require steady throttle control. As you gain elevation, the vegetation opens up to reveal wide coastal views. The highlight is a designated viewpoint overlooking Patong Bay, where you can pause for photos and take in the contrast between hillside forest and the city below.
The return section follows alternative jungle tracks, offering slightly different terrain on the descent. Guides maintain a controlled pace, ensuring spacing between riders and assisting where required. The experience finishes back at base with refreshments including water, seasonal fruit and a cooling towel.
The activity base is located near Kalim Beach on the Kamala–Patong Road, providing direct access to hillside trails above Patong. This area is ideal for ATV riding due to its mix of elevation, jungle cover and coastal vantage points.
There is no transfer included for this experience. Participants meet directly at the base location. Patong is approximately 15–20 minutes from Kamala and around 45 minutes from Phuket International Airport, depending on traffic.
Participants must be at least 4 years old. This activity is not suitable for pregnant travellers, individuals with back problems or those with serious medical conditions that may be affected by vibration or uneven terrain.
Moderate physical ability is required, including basic arm strength and balance to manage steering on inclines. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Smoking, alcohol and drug use are strictly prohibited before and during the activity.
Operating in Phuket since 2018, this team combines local terrain knowledge with structured off-road guidance. The route is specifically designed to showcase Patong from above while maintaining safe and manageable riding conditions.
With well-maintained equipment, clear instruction and controlled group pacing, the focus is on delivering a confident and organised experience. The addition of refreshments and post-ride cooling towels reflects attention to comfort as well as adventure.
The route is graded moderate, meaning it includes elevation changes and natural terrain, but it remains suitable for beginners who follow guidance carefully.
The trail includes winding dirt tracks, gradual uphill climbs and some uneven surfaces typical of mountain routes. It is not an extreme course but does require steady control and attention.
