Spend a full day exploring Phang Nga Bay by speedboat, with limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons and floating villages along the way. This nine-hour island-hopping experience combines kayaking, sightseeing and a seafood lunch stop for a well-rounded day on the water.
The day begins with hotel pick-up from selected Phuket areas before transfer to the pier. After a short briefing, you’ll board a speedboat and head into Phang Nga Bay, known for its limestone karsts rising directly from the sea. The boat journey includes scenic cruising past rock formations and mangrove-lined coastlines.
A key highlight is the stop at the famous filming location commonly known as James Bond Island, recognised from the 007 movie. You’ll have time to explore, take photos and walk around the designated viewing areas. The itinerary also includes kayaking into sheltered lagoons and caves, allowing you to access areas unreachable by larger boats. Kayaks are typically paddled by local guides who navigate through narrow passages into hidden inner lagoons.
Later in the day, you’ll visit Koh Panyee, a floating village built on stilts over the water. Here, lunch is served with views across the bay. After the meal, the speedboat continues towards Koh Yao Yai for relaxation or a short beach stop before returning to Phuket in the afternoon.
This experience operates within Phang Nga Bay, northeast of Phuket. The area is characterised by vertical limestone cliffs, mangrove forests and shallow lagoons formed over thousands of years. It is one of southern Thailand’s most recognised marine landscapes.
Hotel transfers are available from selected areas in Phuket. Additional surcharges may apply for certain zones. If arriving via cruise terminal or airport, private transfers can be arranged separately.
This experience is rated moderate due to the full-day duration, boat travel and optional kayaking component. Participants must be comfortable boarding and disembarking from a speedboat and sitting for extended periods during transfers.
The activity is not suitable for pregnant travellers or individuals with back or heart conditions due to potential sea movement. Infants are not permitted to sit on laps, and the tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Operating in Phuket since 2018, this team brings strong local knowledge of Phang Nga Bay and its changing marine conditions. The itinerary is structured to balance sightseeing, kayaking and cultural stops rather than focusing on a single highlight.
With organised transfers, clear scheduling and experienced crew members, the focus is on delivering a smooth, well-managed day at sea. The combination of island scenery, cave access and floating village lunch provides variety without unnecessary rushing.
Yes. Swimming is optional, and the primary activities are boat travel, sightseeing and guided kayaking. Life jackets are provided during kayaking for safety.
If you prefer not to kayak, you can remain on the boat during that section, depending on group logistics.
The kayaking is generally guided by a local paddler who navigates through lagoons and cave systems. You are seated and do not usually need to paddle extensively.
It is rated moderate due to boat transfers and boarding rather than strenuous physical activity. Basic mobility is required.
Travel time from Phuket to Phang Nga Bay varies depending on sea conditions but typically takes around 45–60 minutes.
There are multiple stops throughout the day, so you are not seated continuously for long stretches.
Phang Nga Bay is a protected marine area, and a National Park fee is required. The current fee is 300 THB for adults and 150 THB for children.
This fee is not included in the tour price and is usually collected separately.
Lunch is served at Koh Panyee floating village and typically consists of Thai-style dishes. Soft drinks and water are available during the meal.
If you have dietary requirements, it is advisable to inform the operator in advance so arrangements can be checked.
Children can participate, but infants are not permitted to sit on laps and infant seats are unavailable.
Parents should consider that this is a full-day experience with boat travel, which may not suit very young children sensitive to sea movement.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for sun protection. Lightweight clothing suitable for boat travel is recommended.
You may also wish to bring a small waterproof bag for electronics during kayaking sections.
Free pick-up is available from selected Phuket areas. You must provide your hotel name at booking so eligibility can be confirmed.
Additional charges may apply for locations outside the designated zones.
Safety is assessed daily based on weather and marine conditions. If conditions are unsafe, the tour may be rescheduled or adjusted.
Moderate sea movement can occur, and individuals prone to motion sickness may wish to take precautions.
