⛵ Key Details

• Location: Fowey, Cornwall and wider South Coast; training can be delivered to your vessel anywhere
• Duration: Full day, up to 8 hours
• Focus: Personalised training on your own boat

📍 What to Expect

Your day starts with a discussion about your goals and areas you’d like to focus on. You decide whether you want to practise basic handling, improve confidence in tight spaces, or work on advanced navigation skills.

During the session, you’ll run through safety drills including Man Overboard recovery, mooring, anchoring, and preparing for longer passages. You’ll also get hands-on experience in berthing at different marinas, entering and exiting harbour areas safely, and handling your boat under varying conditions.

If you’re new to the region or want to explore further, your skipper can guide you on a familiarisation route along the South Coast. This might include navigating the Fowey River, visiting Lantic Bay for an anchoring exercise, or spotting local landmarks like the Eddystone Lighthouse. You’ll also get practical guidance on using your electronic navigation systems, radar, and other onboard equipment.

📌 Location

Training is based in Fowey, Cornwall, but your vessel can be anywhere along the South Coast. Your skipper will travel to your location, so you can train on the boat you own and are most comfortable with.

The sessions are fully adaptable to local conditions, tides, and your schedule. Whether you’re near a home berth, a familiar marina, or venturing into new waters, you’ll receive guidance tailored to your surroundings and vessel type.
