Glide gently above Mallorca as the early morning sun lights up the landscape on this small-group hot air balloon adventure. From helping assemble the balloon to soaring silently over villages, hills, and the open sea, every moment is designed to be engaging and memorable. The experience concludes with a personalised flight certificate to celebrate your flight.
Your experience begins at the official Balloon Airport of Manacor, where the team will welcome you and guide you through the morning schedule. A short video and explanation will cover all safety measures, and you will be invited to help with the balloon’s assembly if you wish. Watching the balloon gradually fill with air and feeling the flames of the burners ignite is an unforgettable moment.
Once the basket is ready, you will lift gently into the sky, often reaching 300–500 metres. From this height, Cabrera appears in the distance, and Menorca may be visible on a clear day. Villages, country houses, and hills unfold beneath your feet, and the silence of the flight gives a sense of complete freedom. The pilots provide commentary on landmarks and ballooning techniques, ensuring the journey is both engaging and relaxing.
The landing is smooth and coordinated with the ground crew, who follow in support vehicles. After touching down, you will participate in the air baptism ceremony and receive your personalised flight certificate. This concludes a morning of aerial adventure that will leave lasting memories of Mallorca from above.
The experience takes place at the official Balloon Airport in Manacor, located on Road MA-15, exit 44 (Palma–Manacor). This site is fully authorised by civil aviation, ensuring a safe and regulated take-off and landing area. The airport’s open surroundings provide ideal conditions for balloon flights throughout the year.
Flights may also depart from other approved take-off sites depending on weather conditions, providing variety and flexibility while keeping safety as the top priority. The launch areas are surrounded by scenic Mallorca countryside, allowing uninterrupted views of hills, farms, and coastline as you ascend into the morning sky.
Participants should be comfortable standing for the duration of the flight and wearing suitable clothing and closed shoes. Headgear is recommended for additional comfort. While the balloon flight is not cold, layering is advised for early morning departures.
Children under 4, pregnant women, and individuals using wheelchairs cannot participate in the flight. Passengers over 100 kg are advised to select the Premium option for extra space and comfort within the basket.
The pilots have extensive experience, with accolades including national and international championship placements. They are highly skilled at involving passengers in the entire process, from assembling the balloon to understanding the equipment, making each flight engaging and personalised.
The modern fleet includes small balloons for couples and larger balloons for groups or corporate experiences. Every excursion is designed with safety, comfort, and enjoyment in mind, ensuring a memorable adventure above Mallorca’s landscape.
The full experience lasts around three hours, which includes pre-flight preparation, balloon assembly, and post-flight ceremony. This ensures you have time to enjoy every stage of the excursion without feeling rushed.
The balloon is airborne for approximately one hour, giving ample time to view Mallorca’s landscape, including villages, hills, and distant islands such as Cabrera and Menorca on clear days. This slow, serene flight allows for plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the feeling of freedom.
Children aged 4 and above can participate, provided they are comfortable standing and following safety instructions. Younger children under 4 are not permitted due to safety regulations.
The experienced pilots make child safety a priority, explaining procedures in an engaging and reassuring way. During the flight, children can enjoy the experience safely, often with the chance to help assemble the balloon under supervision.
Comfortable clothing and closed shoes are recommended for all passengers. Early morning flights may feel slightly cooler, so dressing in layers is advisable.
Headgear is suggested to protect from sun or wind during the ascent. Although the balloon is naturally insulated by the air, layering helps ensure a comfortable experience throughout the flight.
The excursions are organised in small groups, which allows for a more personalised experience. Couples may fly in smaller baskets, while larger baskets accommodate groups or corporate bookings.
Passengers over 100 kg are recommended to select the Premium basket option for extra space. This ensures comfort for everyone and allows unobstructed views for photography and sightseeing.
Flights usually depart from the official Balloon Airport in Manacor, which is fully authorised by civil aviation. This location provides a safe, controlled environment for ballooning.
Other approved launch sites may be used depending on weather conditions and wind direction. Each site offers wide, open areas that allow for safe take-off and landing while providing uninterrupted scenic views.
Safety is the top priority, and flights may be postponed or rescheduled if wind, rain, or poor visibility make flying unsafe. The team will contact passengers in advance to confirm flight status and timing.
In such cases, you may be offered alternative dates or a full refund, depending on availability. The pilots and ground crew make every effort to ensure you can enjoy your balloon experience under ideal conditions.
Passengers using wheelchairs or with restricted mobility cannot take part in the balloon flight. The basket requires standing and careful movement during boarding and in-flight.
However, those unable to fly are welcome to join the group on the ground to observe the balloon assembly. They can enjoy the sights and participate in the morning activities without entering the basket.
Yes. Under pilot supervision, participants are invited to assist with inflating the balloon, setting up the basket, and preparing the burners. This hands-on involvement is a highlight for many guests.
Helping during the build provides a sense of connection to the flight and an understanding of the mechanics of ballooning. It’s a memorable part of the experience that adds to the excitement before take-off.
