Mega SUP Tour on the Lizard Peninsula

One oversized stand-up paddleboard that several people stand on together. You paddle in time, try to stay upright, and usually fall in at least once. It is a group session, not a solo board lesson.

A guide stays with you the whole time. The aim is a shared paddle along the Lizard coast, not a race.

At least four, and up to ten. The board needs that group to move well. This listing is private, so the people on the board are your booking only.

If you have fewer than four, book standard paddleboards instead. If your headcount changes after you book, send a message so we still have the right number of boards, boats or suits.

Mullion Harbour or Cadgwith. We choose the day before based on wind and swell, then send directions and parking.

You cannot pick the harbour when you book. Wait for that message. The day-before note includes parking as well as the start time, so wait for that before you set off.

Twelve. Open-ocean Mega SUP needs that age for balance and judgment in wind and swell.

Younger children are better on a kayak tour, where they can share a double with an adult. Tell us ages when you book so we can put the right people in the right boats or keep a child with an adult.

No. The brief on land covers how to stand, paddle in time and climb back on. The guide stays with the group the whole way.

If some people have paddled before and some have not, say so at the start so we can place people on the board.

Quite possibly, and often on purpose. A shared board wobbles when people move. Wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids stay on.

If someone in the group would rather not swim, say so when you book. We can keep the route calmer, but we cannot promise a dry session.

Yes. The session is in open water. A buoyancy aid and helmet are on the whole time, but you still need to be comfortable in the sea if you come off the board.

If you are unsure, say so when you book. If anyone in the booking is unsure, tell us when you book rather than waiting until you are already at the water.

Swimwear, trainers or water shoes, a towel, sunscreen and sunglasses. Flip-flops and bare feet are not accepted.

We supply the board, paddles, wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids. Leave phones and bags in the car or a locker. The water is not kind to either.

Light rain does not cancel a session. Wind is the main reason we move or cancel, because it affects how the group steers the board. The other Lizard launch is the first option.

If we cancel, we rearrange. The day-before message is also when we confirm the sea is usable.

Yes. The guide takes pictures during the session and shares them with your group afterwards.

We cannot promise a shot of every wobble. The priority is the group and the sea. Ask the guide at the end how the pictures will be sent, as that can change with the size of the group.
