Family Climbing Adventure Session in Mallorca

This activity is designed for families with children aged 5 and above, including adults who want to climb alongside their kids. It welcomes all skill levels, from complete beginners to those with some climbing experience, making it a great way for families to spend time together outdoors.

Parents, guardians, or accompanying adults are encouraged to participate and climb with the children, creating a supportive environment where everyone learns and has fun together.

Participants will climb on natural limestone rock featuring slabs and vertical walls with gutters. These routes are chosen for their safety and accessibility, allowing climbers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the experience without excessive difficulty.

The climbing is adapted to each family’s skill level, focusing on fun, balance, and coordination rather than technical challenges, making it ideal for children and adults alike.

All necessary personal climbing equipment is supplied, including helmets, harnesses, and climbing shoes, ensuring safety and comfort. The guides also provide common group climbing gear and first aid supplies.

Families should bring food and drinks, at least 1.5 litres of water per person, comfortable sportswear, sturdy approach footwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a cap. It’s important to dress for outdoor activity and variable weather conditions.

The session lasts approximately four hours, making it an ideal half-day activity that balances learning and fun without being too tiring for children or adults.

During this time, participants will receive instruction, practise climbing techniques, and enjoy multiple routes under close supervision, with breaks to rest and hydrate as needed.

Qualified climbing guides lead every session, maintaining small group sizes to provide close supervision and personalised instruction. Safety briefings and equipment checks occur before climbing begins to ensure everyone understands how to climb safely.

The climbing sites are selected for their safe, beginner-friendly terrain, and all group climbing equipment is regularly inspected and maintained. First aid kits are always available on site.

No prior experience is required to join the family climbing activity. The guides start with the basics and tailor instruction to each participant’s ability, ensuring everyone can climb safely and confidently.

This makes the activity accessible to young children, beginners, and adults wanting to try climbing for the first time in a friendly environment.

The climbing routes are designed to be suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels, focusing on balance, coordination, and fun rather than strenuous effort.

Participants should be able to walk short distances (about 15 minutes) on uneven terrain to reach the climbing sites and be comfortable with light physical activity. The guides pace the session to match the group’s abilities.

Yes, while groups are organised by family unit, different families—whether known to each other or not—are welcome to join the same climbing session. This creates a friendly and social atmosphere where families can meet and share the experience.

The small group sizes allow the guides to provide personalised attention while fostering interaction among participants.
