Catch the wind and glide across the surface of the sea with a windsurf hire session from the beach in Alcudia. With good conditions and steady breeze, this is a great spot to sail freely, whether you’re returning to the sport or trying it again on holiday.
Hire sessions are available by the hour or for a full day, allowing flexibility to suit your plans. After a short on-beach briefing, you’ll be given your board, rig, and safety equipment, and then you’ll be ready to head straight onto the water. Staff will go over the basic setup, site-specific safety information, and give tips on how to get the most from your time on the water.
The Bay of Alcudia offers a great setting for windsurfing with its open space, gentle swell and reliable thermal wind. Whether you’re practising beach starts, planing out from the shore, or just enjoying some peaceful cruising, the bay has something to offer. The hire is unsupervised but team members remain onshore and are available if needed.
The session takes place from the beach at Puerto de Alcudia on the north coast of Mallorca. This part of the bay is known for calm conditions in the morning and more wind in the afternoon, making it well-suited to both steady cruising and progression. The centre is based directly on the beach, so there’s no need for transport to the water, and a safety boat remains available in the area.
Alcudia itself is a well-equipped coastal town with cafes, shops and beach facilities nearby. It's a convenient spot for visitors staying locally, with easy access from the centre of town and from surrounding resorts.
You’ll need to be confident swimming and able to handle yourself independently on the water. The hire is best suited to those who have at least basic windsurfing experience and are comfortable with launching and returning to the beach.
No qualifications are required, but this session is not a lesson. If you’re new to windsurfing, a taster session or beginner course is recommended first.
The centre offers quality equipment in excellent condition, direct beach access, and friendly, experienced staff who know the local wind patterns well. You’ll benefit from a smooth hire process with help at launch and return, plus the reassurance of shore-based support if needed.
Being locally based in Alcudia, the team are passionate about providing straightforward access to watersports in a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment. Whether you’re here for a one-off session or a full week of activity, they’ll help you get the most out of your time on the water.
Yes, hotel pick-up is available for guests staying in the northern part of Mallorca. This includes Puerto Pollença, Alcudia, Port of Alcudia, Muro Beaches, and Can Picafort. Transport is available for groups of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people. This service is designed to make your experience more convenient, particularly if you’re staying nearby but not directly within walking distance of the port.

You’ll have access to full on-site facilities, including changing rooms, toilets, and secure lockers for your belongings. This makes it easy to change in and out of your gear before and after your session, without needing to arrive already prepared. The facilities are kept clean and well-maintained for your comfort and convenience.
As part of the activity, all necessary safety and technical equipment is provided. This includes professional-grade nautical equipment, buoyancy vests, and insurance cover for both liability and accidents. The aim is to provide a safe, comfortable, and well-supported experience from start to finish, with everything you need available on-site.
If weather conditions on the day of your reservation prevent the activity from going ahead, there’s no need to worry. Your booking is flexible, and the team will work with you to reschedule for another available slot before the end of your holiday. This means you won’t miss out due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
Mallorca’s weather can change quickly, but safety is always the priority. If the forecast poses any risk or would negatively impact the quality of the session, the activity will be postponed. In most cases, an alternative day can be found, and you’ll be informed in plenty of time if there’s any need to rearrange.
The activity takes place in a designated area within the bay at Port d’Alcudia, which is known for its calm waters and scenic surroundings. There’s a clearly marked nautical channel that ensures a safe and organised area for watersports. This location allows for a safe and enjoyable experience regardless of your ability level, making it suitable for most participants.
The full address is Paseo Marítimo, 1, 07400 Port d’Alcudia, on the island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. The port area is easy to access and well-equipped, with nearby cafes and facilities if you want to relax before or after your session. The calm conditions of the bay also make it an ideal location for first-time participants or those looking to build confidence on the water.
To get the most out of your session, it's recommended to come prepared with a few basic items. You’ll need a swimsuit, a cap or visor for sun protection, sunglasses, and sunscreen to help protect against the midday heat. A towel is also a good idea for drying off afterwards, especially if you’re planning to change at the on-site facilities.
For your feet, bring water shoes such as flip-flops, aqua booties or other non-slip footwear. This will help you move comfortably around the shore and equipment area, especially if surfaces are wet or uneven. Staying hydrated is also important, so bringing a water bottle is advisable, particularly on hotter days.
While prior experience is helpful, it's not essential. The bay is suitable for beginners and experienced windsurfers alike, and conditions are generally calm with predictable wind patterns. Before heading out, a member of staff will give you a briefing on how to handle the board and sail, go over local wind conditions, and explain basic safety rules.
However, this is a rental rather than a lesson, so no in-water instruction is included. If you're completely new to windsurfing and unsure about managing on your own, a separate beginner session may be more suitable. For confident first-timers or those with a little previous experience, this is a great way to practise independently in a safe and supportive environment.
Each rental includes a complete windsurf board and sail suited to your ability level. Staff will help you select the right equipment based on current wind conditions, your experience, and your height and weight. All equipment is kept in excellent condition and regularly checked to ensure safety and performance.
A buoyancy aid is also provided and must be worn throughout your session. If you have your own wetsuit or gloves, you’re welcome to wear them, especially on windier or cooler days, though they aren’t included in the rental. Everything else you need to get started is available on-site and included in the hire price.
