The guide is yours. The brief and the route follow your group, which helps people who want more coaching or a quieter pace than an open slot.

The kit, the photos and the three-hour shape are the same. If you are happy joining other bookers, the open tour is the cheaper option.

Mullion Harbour or Cadgwith. We choose the day before based on wind and swell, then send directions and parking.

You cannot pick the harbour when you book. Wait for that message. The day-before note includes parking as well as the start time, so wait for that before you set off.

From two people up to 12. Tell us the headcount when you book so we have boards and a coach ready.

The booking starts at two because a private session is priced from that minimum. If your headcount changes after you book, send a message so we still have the right number of boards, boats or suits.

Fourteen. Open-ocean paddleboarding on this coast needs that age for balance, strength and judgment in wind and swell.

Younger children are better on a kayak tour, where they can share a double with an adult, or on a Mega SUP with the family from age 12.

No. The first minutes are on a sheltered stretch. The guide stays with the least confident person and builds the session from there.

If you already paddle, say so at the start so we can give you more coast. The first minutes are always the slower ones, so there is time to say if you want more coaching or more coast.

Swimwear, trainers or water shoes, a towel, sunscreen and sunglasses. Flip-flops and bare feet are not accepted.

We supply the board, paddle, leash, wetsuit and buoyancy aid. Leave phones and bags in the car or a locker. The water is not kind to either.

Yes. The session is in open water. A buoyancy aid and leash are on the whole time, but you still need to be comfortable in the sea if you come off the board.

If someone is nervous, say so when you book. If anyone in the booking is unsure, tell us when you book rather than waiting until you are already at the water.

Light rain does not cancel a session. Wind is the main reason we move or cancel. The other Lizard launch is the first option.

If we cancel, we rearrange. The day-before message is also when we confirm the sea is usable.

Yes. The guide takes pictures during the session and shares them with your group afterwards.

We cannot promise a shot of every cove. The priority is the group and the sea. Ask the guide at the end how the pictures will be sent, as that can change with the size of the group.

Quite possibly. Standing on an inflatable board in small swell is part of the session. The wetsuit and buoyancy aid stay on, and climbing back on is part of the brief.

If you would rather stay seated, say so at the start. The guide can keep you on your knees until you are ready to stand.
