Looking for a relaxed way to spend time on the water in Da Nang? This kayaking session combines beginner-friendly paddling with games, short coastal trips, and plenty of time to enjoy the sea, making it suitable for adults, children, and families wanting an active outdoor experience together.
After arriving near My Khe Beach, you will meet the instructor and get prepared with your kayaking equipment before heading towards the water. The session begins with a short safety briefing and introduction to paddling techniques, including how to hold the paddle correctly, steer the kayak, and stay balanced while on the sea. Warm-up exercises are also included before launching from the shoreline.
Once everyone is comfortable with the basics, the group moves into shallow water to practise turning, paddling, and controlling the kayak. Instructors remain nearby to offer support and guidance while participants gain confidence on the water. Tandem kayaks are available for younger children paddling alongside an older participant, helping families enjoy the activity together safely.
The final part of the session focuses on fun activities and relaxed paddling along the coastline. Depending on conditions and the confidence of the group, guests may take part in kayaking games, short races, or gentle exploration along the beach. The session finishes back on shore with time to rinse off and change afterwards.
Based along the coastline of Sơn Trà, My Khe Beach offers calm conditions and a wide sandy shoreline that works well for beginner kayaking and family-friendly water activities. The open beach gives guests plenty of space to practise close to shore while enjoying views across the sea and coastline of Da Nang.
Away from the water, the surrounding area blends beach cafés, local restaurants, and scenic coastal roads with quieter natural areas nearby. The nearby Sơn Trà Peninsula creates a more peaceful backdrop to the activity, adding a sense of space away from the busier city streets.
Previous kayaking experience is not required for this activity, making it suitable for complete beginners as well as guests wanting a relaxed session on the water. The instructor adapts the pace depending on the confidence and experience level of the group.
