Combining coastal kayaking with time in the water exploring marine life, this half-day tour offers a relaxed way to experience Da Nang from the sea. Suitable for both adults and children, the trip includes guided paddling along My Khe Beach before stopping at a small reef area for snorkelling, swimming, and enjoying the coastal surroundings.
The tour begins near My Khe Beach, where guests meet the guide, collect kayaking and snorkelling equipment, and prepare for the session. After fitting life vests and safety gear, the instructor provides a short introduction to paddling techniques, kayak control, and general water safety before the group carries the kayaks down to the shoreline.
Once on the water, participants spend time practising basic kayaking skills close to shore before beginning the coastal paddle towards a small offshore reef area near the Sơn Trà headland. Along the route, guests can enjoy views back towards Da Nang’s coastline while paddling at a relaxed pace suitable for beginners and families. Large tandem kayaks are available and can safely accommodate two adults and one child where required.
After reaching the reef, there is time to rest before entering the water for snorkelling and swimming. Guests can explore the shallow reef area while looking for tropical fish, coral, and other marine life beneath the surface. Following the snorkelling section, the group paddles back towards the beach with support from the guide before returning equipment and finishing the tour.
Based around the coastline of Sơn Trà and My Khe Beach, this tour takes place in one of Da Nang’s most scenic coastal areas. The calm waters near the shoreline provide suitable beginner conditions for kayaking, while the nearby offshore reef adds an extra element for guests wanting to experience marine life away from the beach.
The surrounding area combines sea views, coastal roads, and natural scenery close to the Sơn Trà Peninsula. From the water, guests can enjoy a different perspective of Da Nang while spending time away from the busier areas of the city.
No previous kayaking or snorkelling experience is required to join the tour. The activity is designed to be beginner-friendly, with guides providing instruction and support throughout the session to help guests feel comfortable both paddling and entering the water.
Participants should feel confident around water and capable of taking part in light physical activity over the course of the tour. Families with children are welcome, and tandem kayaks are available for younger participants where needed.
This tour combines two activities into one relaxed coastal experience, allowing guests to explore both above and below the water during the same session. Small group sizes help create a more personal atmosphere while giving guides more time to support participants individually.
Experienced instructors, quality equipment, and access to quieter reef areas near Sơn Trà help create a comfortable environment for beginners and families alike. The combination of kayaking, snorkelling, and coastal scenery makes it a great option for visitors wanting a more varied outdoor activity in Da Nang.

Sightings naturally vary depending on weather, water clarity, and sea conditions, but guests often enjoy seeing colourful fish and reef environments during the snorkelling section.
The kayaking section is designed to be manageable for beginners and takes place at a steady pace suitable for mixed ability levels. Basic paddling techniques are taught before the group heads further along the coastline.
Regular breaks are included during the session, and guides remain nearby to provide assistance whenever needed.
