✈️ What to Expect

Beginning at Sherburn-in-Elmet, you'll meet your pilot before receiving a comprehensive safety briefing covering the helicopter, boarding procedures and what to expect during the flight. Once everyone is comfortably seated, the helicopter will lift smoothly into the air as your sightseeing adventure begins.

Flying east across Yorkshire, you'll pass over the surrounding countryside before reaching the historic city of York. Along the way you'll enjoy views of Selby Abbey before continuing towards the city, where you'll see many of its best-known landmarks from around 1,500 feet above the ground. Your pilot will fly over York Minster, Clifford's Tower, York City Walls, the River Ouse, Bishopthorpe Palace and York Racecourse, giving you an incredible perspective that simply isn't possible from street level.

After leaving York behind, the route continues towards Tadcaster, famous for its historic breweries, before passing over Wetherby Racecourse and following the Great North Road back towards Sherburn-in-Elmet. As this is a private flight, the helicopter is reserved exclusively for your group, allowing you to enjoy every moment together without sharing the aircraft with other passengers.
