Descend a 105ft waterfall in the heart of Kitulgala’s rainforest landscape with a guided abseiling experience designed for adventurous participants. Your session begins with a detailed safety briefing and equipment fitting. Instructors explain harness positioning, rope systems and braking technique before demonstrating the correct body angle for descending against flowing water. Once secured to the anchor system, you’ll begin your controlled descent down approximately 105ft of rock face, with water cascading around you. The key is maintaining steady foot placement and leaning back into the harness to regulate speed using the belay system. Instructors remain positioned to supervise and assist if required.
The descent is completed at a controlled pace, allowing you to focus on technique and balance rather than rushing the experience. Depending on group flow and water conditions, you may have the opportunity to repeat sections or refine technique during the session.
