Balance, paddle and explore your way through one of Ibiza's most beautiful marine environments on this guided SUP and snorkelling adventure. Starting from Es Figueral Beach, you'll venture into the protected waters of the northeast coast, discovering hidden bays, rocky coastline and excellent snorkelling spots along the way. Whether you're completely new to stand-up paddleboarding or already confident on a board, this trip offers a fun way to experience the island from the water.
Beginning with a short lesson on the beach, you'll learn the basics of paddleboarding before heading out onto the water. Depending on the wind and sea conditions, the route may head north towards Aguas Blancas or south towards Pou des Lleó, allowing your guide to choose the best conditions for the day.
As you paddle along the coastline, you'll discover hidden coves, sea caves and stretches of protected shoreline that are difficult to reach by land. Stops are made throughout the trip to explore the area, take in the scenery and enjoy a snorkelling session in the clear Mediterranean waters, where you'll have the chance to observe the underwater world beneath your board.
Returning to Es Figueral, you'll finish with a greater appreciation for Ibiza's natural coastline and marine reserve, having experienced both above and below the surface during this active coastal adventure.
Facing the protected waters of Ibiza's northeast coast, Es Figueral provides an excellent setting for stand-up paddleboarding. The area is known for its calm mornings, clear water and access to stretches of coastline that remain largely untouched compared to other parts of the island.
Beyond the beach lies a marine reserve rich in wildlife and underwater habitats, including the important Posidonia Oceanica seagrass meadows that help keep the surrounding waters exceptionally clear. Hidden coves, rocky outcrops and quiet bays make this one of the most rewarding areas of Ibiza to explore on a paddleboard.
No previous paddleboarding experience is required, and full instruction is provided before setting off. The activity is suitable for beginners, families and anyone looking to try something new while enjoying time on the water.
If you'd rather not snorkel, that's absolutely fine. The snorkelling portion is optional, allowing you to simply relax on your board and enjoy the surroundings if preferred. Please advise the team when booking if you are pregnant or have any medical conditions that may affect your participation.
Focused on small groups and personalised experiences, Lauren and the team aim to help guests experience Ibiza's coastline in a fun and relaxed way. Their local knowledge allows them to choose routes that make the most of daily conditions while showcasing some of the area's hidden highlights.
Using quality hard paddleboards rather than inflatable boards, the experience provides excellent stability and performance on the water. Combined with expert guidance and access to the protected marine reserve, it creates a rewarding adventure for both first-time and experienced paddlers.
Not at all. Most people are surprised by how quickly they pick up the basics once they're on the water. The session begins with instruction on the beach, covering balance, paddling techniques and how to get comfortable on the board.
Many guests join with no previous experience and are soon paddling confidently along the coastline. The focus is on enjoying the experience rather than mastering advanced techniques.
No. You're welcome to paddle however you feel most comfortable, whether that's standing, kneeling or sitting on the board.
Some guests start on their knees before progressing to standing, while others prefer to stay seated and simply enjoy the journey. There's no pressure and everyone moves at their own pace.
The waters around the marine reserve are home to a variety of fish, underwater rock formations and Posidonia Oceanica seagrass meadows. The clarity of the water often makes it easy to observe life beneath the surface.
Conditions vary each day, but the snorkelling stop is chosen to provide the best possible experience based on weather and sea conditions.
No, snorkelling is completely optional. Some guests prefer to stay on their paddleboard, take photographs or simply relax while others explore beneath the surface.
This flexibility makes the trip suitable for people with different comfort levels and interests.
Yes. The experience is suitable for children aged 8 and above and can be a great introduction to paddleboarding in a safe and supportive environment.
Families often enjoy the combination of paddling, wildlife spotting and snorkelling, making it a varied activity that appeals to different ages.
The exact route depends on the wind and sea conditions on the day. Your guide will decide whether to head towards Aguas Blancas or Pou des Lleó to ensure the best experience possible.
This flexibility allows the team to choose calmer waters and the most enjoyable locations for both paddleboarding and snorkelling.
