Take the controls of a Robinson R44 for an introductory flight lesson while up to two passengers ride along. About 20 minutes airborne plus roughly 30 minutes of ground briefing make this a shareable first lesson from Kissimmee.
After check-in and ID checks, your instructor covers a ground and pre-flight introduction before you board the R44. In the air you take the controls for hands-on flying while passengers watch from the cabin and the instructor remains responsible for safety.
Practice typically heads toward the area east of Lake Toho. Flight times are approximate and may shift with weather and weight balance.
Lessons depart from the Kissimmee heliport beside the Orlando resort corridor, then use nearby open training airspace rather than a theme-park sightseeing loop.
The R44 offers more cabin space and a higher seat weight limit than the two-seat R22 intro.
No flying experience is required. You should be comfortable following instructor directions in a four-seat cabin.
One person cannot exceed 300 lb, and three people together cannot exceed 600 lb. Guests may be weighed before departure.
Certified instructors who also fly scenic tours from the same base keep the briefing clear and the airborne segment well paced for first-timers.
Bringing passengers makes this a strong birthday or anniversary gift compared with the solo R22 format.
Meet at 4010 4th Street, Kissimmee, FL 34741. Free parking is available at the heliport.

Total passenger weight limits still apply across the three non-instructor seats.
One person cannot exceed 300 lb (136 kg), and three people together cannot exceed 600 lb (272 kg). Guests may be weighed before departure.
This higher per-seat limit is one reason guests choose the R44 over the lighter R22 intro.
