Escape the busy streets and enjoy Lisbon from a different perspective on this private three-hour boat tour along the Tagus River. Reserved exclusively for your group, it's the perfect way to relax, take in the city's famous landmarks and enjoy quality time with family or friends at your own pace.
Your experience begins at Doca de Alcântara, where you'll meet your skipper before boarding your private boat. After a short safety briefing, you'll head out onto the Tagus River, leaving the busy waterfront behind as you begin a relaxed sightseeing cruise. With three hours on the water, there's plenty of time to enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed, and the flexible itinerary allows the skipper to adapt the pace to suit your group.
As you cruise along the river, you'll pass many of Lisbon's best-known landmarks, including Praça do Comércio, Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, MAAT and the impressive 25 de Abril Bridge. Each offers a completely different viewpoint from the water, making this an excellent opportunity to take photographs while learning more about the city's riverside history and architecture.
The private nature of the experience means you're free to spend your time however you like. Sit back and enjoy the views, celebrate a special occasion, or simply relax with family and friends while taking in Lisbon's skyline. If you'd like refreshments during your cruise, food and drinks can be arranged as optional extras, or you're welcome to bring your own onboard.
Departing from Doca de Alcântara, this experience starts from one of Lisbon's most accessible marinas, conveniently located close to the city centre. The meeting point is easy to reach from many hotels and transport connections, making it a simple starting point whether you're visiting Lisbon or live locally.
The Tagus River is one of the city's defining features, offering uninterrupted views of Lisbon's historic districts, modern architecture and famous monuments. Cruising along the waterfront provides a peaceful way to experience the city while enjoying open space away from the busy streets.
This experience is suitable for all ages and is ideal for couples, families and groups looking for a private sightseeing cruise. No boating experience is necessary, as your professional skipper will take care of the navigation throughout the trip.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather and choose flat footwear for moving around the boat. It's also recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen and a light jacket, along with a camera or smartphone to capture the views during your cruise.
Every private charter is designed to offer a comfortable and personalised experience on the water. Experienced skippers, well-maintained boats and flexible itineraries allow you to enjoy Lisbon at your own pace while knowing every aspect of the journey has been carefully planned.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a quieter way to explore the city, the focus is always on providing friendly service, reliable organisation and an enjoyable experience from departure to return.
Yes, this is a fully private boat tour reserved exclusively for your group. You will not be sharing the boat with other guests, which gives you more space, privacy and flexibility throughout the experience.
This makes it ideal for couples, families, friends or small groups who want to enjoy Lisbon from the water without the atmosphere of a shared sightseeing tour. The skipper can also adjust the rhythm of the cruise to suit your group where conditions allow.
The route usually includes views of some of Lisbon's most recognised riverside landmarks, including Praça do Comércio, Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, MAAT and the 25 de Abril Bridge. You may also enjoy views across to Cristo Rei, depending on the chosen route and river conditions.
Seeing these sights from the Tagus River offers a different perspective compared with visiting them on land. The open views from the boat make it a great opportunity for photos, especially around Belém and beneath the bridge.
Yes, the skipper can adapt the pace and general flow of the tour depending on your preferences, weather and navigation conditions. If you’d like a slower sightseeing cruise, more time for photos, or a relaxed route along the waterfront, this can usually be considered.
The final route will always depend on safety, river traffic and local conditions on the day. The benefit of a private charter is that the experience feels more personal and less fixed than a standard group tour.
Yes, this is a family-friendly experience and works well for adults and children who want a relaxed way to see Lisbon. The private setting means families can enjoy the boat at their own pace without worrying about other guests.
Parents should supervise children at all times while onboard, as with any boat activity. The crew will provide safety guidance before departure and remain available throughout the cruise.
No previous boating experience is needed. Your professional skipper will handle the navigation, docking and general operation of the boat, so you can simply enjoy the experience.
Before departure, the crew will provide a short safety briefing and explain anything you need to know while onboard. The tour is designed to be easy and accessible, even if it is your first time on a boat.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks onboard. This can be a good option if you want to personalise the trip with snacks, soft drinks or refreshments for your group.
Food and drinks may also be available as optional extras, depending on your booking preferences. It is best to arrange any extras in advance so everything is ready for your departure.
Bring comfortable clothing suitable for the weather, along with flat shoes that are easy to move around in on a boat. Sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat are recommended during sunny weather.
A light jacket or warm layer is also a good idea, as it can feel cooler on the river than in the city. You may also want to bring a camera or smartphone for photos, especially when passing Lisbon's main landmarks.
