Relax on a shared yacht as the sun begins to set over Barcelona’s skyline on this 2-hour open group cruise. Enjoy panoramic views of the city, gentle sea breezes, and light refreshments while the crew ensures your comfort and safety. Ideal for friends, couples, or solo travellers seeking a scenic evening on the water.
Your cruise begins at Port Vell Marina, where the crew welcomes you aboard with a safety briefing and a quick tour of the yacht’s facilities. The yacht then sets sail along the Barcelona seafront, passing landmarks such as Barceloneta Beach, the W Hotel, and the Olympic Port. The early evening timing ensures calm waters and soft, golden light perfect for photographs.
During the cruise, the yacht may anchor in sheltered waters so guests can relax on deck or dip their toes in the water. The open bar provides a selection of wines, cava, beer, and soft drinks, while fresh tapas-style snacks keep you refreshed. The crew shares insights into the history of the city’s waterfront, points out architectural highlights, and provides tips for capturing the best views.
The last part of the cruise focuses on the sunset itself, as the sun dips behind the city skyline and mountains. Guests can enjoy the changing colours over the Mediterranean, relax with drinks, or simply take in the calm atmosphere of the open sea. The combination of private attention, scenic vistas, and gentle sailing makes this a memorable evening experience.
The meeting point is on the street directly in front of Restaurant MOLO39 at Plaça de Pau Vila 39, 08039 Barcelona. Guests must wait outside at street level — not on the terrace — as this is where the crew collects everyone. The spot sits on the south side of Palau de Mar, just before the restaurant entrance, making it straightforward to find when arriving from the square. Please stay outside and avoid going into the restaurant or entering the marina, as this can delay pick-up.
After meeting you here, the crew will walk you to the nearby marina for boarding. Departures take place from this central waterfront area, giving quick access to the harbour and the open water beyond. The cruise travels along Barcelona’s coastline, where beaches, well-known landmarks, and modern architecture unfold as the yacht moves away from the city. Evening departures offer a clear view of the shoreline as the lights come on across the waterfront, creating a calm setting for photos, conversation, and relaxing on deck.
Guests should be comfortable walking on deck and able to follow safety guidance provided by the crew. Swimming is optional but possible when the yacht is stationary in calm waters.
Sun protection such as hats and sunglasses is recommended for the early evening sun. Non-slip shoes and light jackets or wraps may also enhance comfort, especially as temperatures cool slightly toward sunset.
The yachts are modern, fully equipped, and designed for comfort, offering ample deck space, shaded seating, and social areas for small groups. Whether relaxing with a drink or taking photos, the yacht provides the facilities needed for a comfortable and enjoyable cruise.
Experienced RYA-certified skippers and crew manage all navigation and onboard operations, ensuring a safe and smooth journey while providing informative commentary about local landmarks, architecture, and marine life. The open group setting allows you to meet other travellers or enjoy the cruise with your own small party, making it flexible and engaging for all types of guests.
It’s best to dress in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Even in summer, it can get breezy on the water, so a light jacket or windbreaker is recommended. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen will help protect you from the sun, and a towel is handy if you plan to get a little wet.
Footwear should be flat and secure; avoid flip-flops or slippery shoes. You might also consider bringing a small bag for personal items, and a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the tour. Checking the weather forecast ahead of time helps ensure you pack exactly what you need.
Yes, the open bar and light tapas-style snacks are available for the entire duration of the 2-hour cruise. Drinks include wines, cava, beer, and soft drinks, with snacks such as olives, jamón, cheese, and crisps.
Guests with dietary restrictions should notify the crew in advance to ensure reasonable accommodation. The crew provides attentive service to ensure everyone enjoys refreshments safely.
Children are welcome on board and are considered full passengers. The number of spots is limited, so all passengers—including infants—need to be registered and paid for to guarantee a safe and comfortable experience.
Parents should ensure children are supervised at all times and are comfortable around water. Life jackets are provided for all passengers, including children, to maintain safety standards throughout the tour.
It’s important to arrive on time as tours cannot accommodate late arrivals. Boats operate on strict schedules, and missing the start time means the tour may depart without you to stay on schedule.
We recommend leaving plenty of time to reach the meeting point, considering traffic, public transport, or other delays. Checking the location in advance and planning accordingly helps ensure you don’t miss any part of the experience.
Safety is a top priority. All boats are commercially certified and regularly inspected to meet strict maritime standards. Professional skippers handle navigation, and a well-stocked medical kit is kept onboard. The tour route stays close to the coast for additional safety and emergency access.
Weather conditions are constantly monitored. If conditions become unsafe, the tour will be rescheduled or cancelled to prevent any risk to passengers. Passengers are also briefed on safety procedures at the start of the tour, and life jackets are provided for everyone.
Pets are not permitted on this sailing activity to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers. The boats are designed to accommodate a specific number of human passengers, and adding pets could disrupt safety and space.
If you would like to bring a pet along, consider alternative options such as arranging care onshore or looking into pet-friendly excursions in the area. This ensures you can still enjoy your sailing experience without worrying about your pet’s welfare.
Tours only get cancelled in rare circumstances, usually due to unsafe weather conditions or operational issues. In such cases, you will be notified as early as possible so you can adjust your plans without stress. Safety is always prioritised, so cancellations are done to ensure everyone on board remains secure.
If the activity is cancelled, you will be offered the option to reschedule for another available date or receive a full refund. This ensures you don’t miss out on the experience entirely, and gives flexibility in case your schedule changes.
No prior sailing experience is required. The skipper and crew handle all navigation and vessel operations, allowing guests to relax, socialise, or participate lightly in sailing activities if they wish.
Safety briefings are given before departure, including instructions on deck movement, swim platform use, and emergency procedures. Even first-time cruisers can feel confident that the yacht is fully managed and safe.
