Explore Phuket’s jungle trails on a guided ATV adventure designed for riders who want more than a gentle cruise. This four-hour experience combines forest tracks, elevated viewpoints, and off-road terrain for a hands-on ride through the island’s natural landscape.
After check-in and a structured safety briefing, you’ll be introduced to your ATV and shown how to manage throttle control, braking, steering, and body positioning for uneven ground. Helmets are provided, and instructors ensure every rider is confident before setting off onto the trail.
The route moves through Phuket’s forested hills around Kamala, combining dirt tracks, gradual inclines, shaded jungle paths, and open sections with clear coastal views. Terrain varies depending on recent weather, with compact soil, loose gravel, and occasional muddy stretches adding technical interest. Planned stops at panoramic viewpoints allow time for photos and short breaks.
The ride is guided throughout to maintain spacing and safety. This is a controlled off-road experience rather than a high-speed race, making it suitable for beginners who want challenge without pressure. The final section loops back through jungle tracks before returning to base for refreshments.
This experience operates in the Kamala area of Phuket, on the island’s west coast. The terrain here offers a combination of hillside jungle and sea-facing viewpoints, making it one of the more varied off-road zones on the island.
Kamala is approximately 30–40 minutes from Patong and around 50 minutes from Phuket International Airport, depending on traffic conditions. If you choose not to select hotel transfer, the meeting point is located in Kamala, Kathu District. Full directions are provided after booking.
Participants must be at least 4 years old. Younger children typically ride as passengers, depending on size and confidence. The activity is not suitable for pregnant travellers or individuals with back or heart conditions due to vibration and uneven terrain.
The experience is not wheelchair accessible and requires the ability to sit securely and maintain basic balance. Closed-toe shoes are required, and comfortable clothing that can get dusty is recommended. The zipline element (if included in selected options) has a maximum weight limit of 120 kg.
Operating in Phuket since 2018, this team combines strong local knowledge with practical guiding experience. Routes are selected for safety, scenery, and ride quality rather than just distance. Clear instructions and well-maintained equipment ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.
The focus is on honest service and well-organised logistics. With a background in local tourism, every trip is designed to feel straightforward, well paced, and genuinely connected to Phuket’s landscape rather than rushed or overcrowded.
No prior experience is required. Before the ride begins, instructors provide a full safety briefing covering throttle control, braking, steering, and how to shift your weight when riding on slopes or uneven terrain. You will have time to practise in a controlled area before heading onto the forest trails.
The pace is adjusted to suit the group, making it suitable for beginners who want a structured introduction to off-road riding. More confident riders can enjoy the varied terrain while still remaining within guided safety limits.
The minimum age to participate is 4 years old. Younger children typically ride as passengers rather than driving independently. Guides assess height, confidence, and safety before assigning seating arrangements.
Parents should note that this is an off-road activity with vibration and movement. Children must be able to sit securely and hold on appropriately during the ride.
The route includes jungle dirt tracks, hillside paths, and open sections with sea views. Surfaces can include compact earth, loose gravel, and occasional muddy stretches depending on recent weather conditions.
There are gradual climbs and descents, but no extreme technical obstacles. The route is selected to provide challenge without requiring advanced off-road skills.
Riding an ATV requires moderate physical engagement, particularly in your arms and core to maintain balance on uneven terrain. However, it does not require high fitness levels.
The main requirement is basic mobility and the ability to sit securely and control the handlebars. Those with back, heart, or serious mobility issues should not participate.
Closed-toe shoes are essential for safety. Lightweight clothing that can get dusty is recommended, as forest trails can create dirt and mud spray.
Avoid sandals, loose scarves, or clothing that could catch in equipment. Sunglasses may help with dust, and sunscreen is advised for open hillside sections.
For safety reasons, zipline components (if included in selected options) have a maximum weight limit of 120 kg.
ATV suitability is also assessed for safe vehicle handling. If you are unsure whether the activity is appropriate, it is best to confirm in advance.
Light rain does not usually prevent the activity from operating, and in some cases can make the terrain more engaging. However, heavy storms or unsafe conditions may result in schedule adjustments.
If weather conditions are deemed unsafe, you will be offered an alternative time or date where possible.
Bookings close one hour before the activity start time, subject to availability. However, peak travel seasons in Phuket can result in high demand.
It is recommended to book at least a day in advance during busy periods to secure your preferred time slot.
