Lift out of the water and learn to control your height on a guided flyboarding session at one of Dubai’s prime beach locations. This 30-minute experience focuses on balance, technique, and progression, with full instruction and safety equipment provided.
The session starts with a land-based briefing where an instructor explains how the flyboard works, how lift is generated, and how body position affects balance and height. You’ll also learn the hand signals used to communicate with the instructor while on the water. A helmet and life vest are fitted before entering the sea.
Once in the water, the flyboard—powered by a connected jet ski—gradually lifts you above the surface. The instructor controls the power and adjusts it based on your confidence and stability. Most participants begin by practising balance just above the water before progressing to higher lifts and short movements forward.
Expect a learning curve with multiple attempts, controlled falls into the water, and steady improvement as you refine your posture and weight shifts. The emphasis is on control rather than height, giving you time to understand how small adjustments affect movement and elevation.
The experience takes place along the coastline near Dukes The Palm, offering open water conditions suitable for flyboarding instruction. The area is known for its clear launch points and easy access to deeper water, allowing sessions to run smoothly.
The meeting point is accessible by road and public transport, and arrival details are confirmed in advance. Participants should arrive early to allow time for briefing and equipment fitting.
Participants must be confident swimmers and comfortable in open water. The minimum age is 12, and anyone under 18 must have parental or guardian consent before taking part.
This experience is not suitable for pregnant guests or anyone with heart conditions, back problems, or other medical issues that could be affected by sudden movement or impact. Guests are advised to hold appropriate travel and activity insurance.
This session is structured to help beginners progress safely, with instructors focused on technique and communication rather than rushing the experience. Power levels are adjusted in real time to match each participant’s ability.
All essential equipment and supervision are included, keeping the experience straightforward and focused on learning to fly above the water in a controlled setting.
No prior experience is required. The session is designed for first-timers and starts with a full explanation of balance, lift, and communication signals.
The instructor remains in control of the power throughout and adapts the session to your progress.
Flyboarding requires balance and coordination rather than strength. Most people can hover above the water within the session, though control improves with practice.
Progress varies by individual, and falling into the water is a normal part of learning.
Participants must be at least 12 years old. Anyone under 18 needs parental or guardian consent before taking part.
It’s important that younger participants are confident swimmers and able to follow instructions closely.
Wear swimwear or quick-drying clothing suitable for water activities. Bring a change of clothes for after the session.
Avoid jewellery or loose accessories, as these must be removed before flying.
You need to be comfortable swimming and treading water, as you will enter and exit the water several times.
A life vest is provided, but water confidence is essential.
When supervised properly, flyboarding is managed and controlled. Safety equipment is provided, and instructors regulate power levels throughout.
All participants receive a briefing before entering the water to minimise risk.
Specific weight limits may apply based on equipment and conditions. If you have concerns, it’s best to check before booking.
Instructors may adjust settings to ensure safe operation.
Falling is expected, especially for beginners. The water landing is controlled, and the instructor reduces power immediately.
You’ll be guided back into position before trying again.
Friends or family can usually watch from the beach area near the launch point.
Viewing positions depend on local regulations and conditions on the day.
